Hand Brake for a 16" Kids Bike

Hello. The 16" Schwinn bike I have for my daughter only has the pedal brakes and I wish I'd gotten one with the hand brake and the pedal brake. Several of their models (Elm, etc.) include the handbrake. I emailed them to see if I could call and order the part similar to what other bike models had and they said I'd have to find one aftermarket from a bike shop.

I imagine they don't make the brakes, just install them. So what size caliper brake kit is standard with those kid's bikes? I'd like it in white or black.

Thanks!

Best bike lights for night commuting

I have a night shift job I recently got, so yesterday was actually my first time using my bike at night going to work and it was not good. It was so hard for me to see clearly considering that I’m short sighted. I almost hit some people walking and some parts of the road were just completely dark. I had to slow down the whole time and keep guessing what was ahead of me and it was so frustrating and stressful, especially because I don’t want to mess up on my first week at the job. I just  can’t keep doing this every night and I need proper bike lights so I can see the road clearly and also so other people can see me coming.

I am checking for options and there are so many types on alibaba. Some seem to be super bright as I have seen on the reviews, some are cheap, and I don’t really know which ones are actually good or just overrated. I just want something simple and strong for night commuting, something I can trust every day without worrying.

Trying to mount topeak baby seat ii to my cannondale quick 4

I have a cannondale quick 4 with rim brakes. I am trying to mount this topeak baby seat but cannot attach the stabilizers without running into the rear rim brakes. Anyone recommend adapters or have a solution for this?

Rear child seat too close to saddle — what did I do wrong?

I installed a used rear pannier rack to mount a child seat on my bike (Riverside 500), but the seat ends up way too close to my saddle. My daughter's knees are basically against my butt while riding.

I'm trying to figure out what’s wrong here. Is the rack mounted incorrectly, or is this just the wrong type/size of rack for this setup?

The rack is used, and some bolts are too worn out for me to easily extend it. My saddle height is low because I'm short, so I can't really raise it more.

Any idea what I should change? Should I replace the rear pannier rack with a lower one or an extendable one? Thank you!

My tyre looks like this

As you can see these x abrasions have started to appear on my tires.

I am quite a heavy person for context. What could have caused them(age, high weight, over inflation etc.)
