Accommodation scam "Cannes Croisette Sea & Sky"

Hello Everyone,

I've recently stayed in Cannes for the Lions and I got scammed by a guy that goes under "Felix" through Booking.com.

Me and another 2 people I know booked this stay and had the same issue: the day before the booking, the property writes to us (on WhatsApp) saying that the owner of the apartment is not responsive anymore, he doesn't know what to do since he already got the money of the reservation, and that he will need to find "another solution" for a higher fee.

My friends ended up paying 900 Euros more to secure the apartment. I did report the situation to Booking.com who was super helpful and helped me getting a full refund and book an alternative accommodation. Once reporting them, the property kept on writing me on WhatsApp insulting me and threatening me to not returning the money of the deposit. Booking.com will help with the refound of the deposit as well, but just wanted to alert the community that this is happening with "Cannes Croisette Sea and Sky". I've reported the chats and conversations to Booking.com to ensure this person is banned from the platform but I'm not sure this will happen....

Cannes club scene & entry

I’ve seen people say that girls can get into clubs for free, while others say you have to pay the entrance fee. Which one is actually true?

Also, how necessary are promoters? Can you usually get into clubs without one, or are they essential during the summer?

If anyone knows any good promoters, feel free to comment or DM me. Thanks:)

ANYONE INTERESTED IN GOING TO LA GUERITE DURING JULY 14th-27th

Hi, please correct me if I’m wrong but if 4-6 of us are trying to get a reservation for la guerite, shellona etc and the other db club places that are fully booked - surely one of us can get a membership and we split it?

St. Tropez beach club - tipping etiquette?

Hi, I am visiting St. Tropez in mid-July and have a table booking for a beach club (Casa Amor).

The table has a min spend associated with it.

In the US, when you book a table, you have to factor in another 20% for tip.

How does it work in St. Tropez? Is service generally included, or is a tip beyond the minimum expected? What's the etiquette? Thanks for the help!
