How expensive is Cannes in July?
I'm planning an holiday on the southern coast for the last week of june or the first of july but i'm not sure how expensive Cannes really is.
I've been looking for an apartment which was near the city and near a beach hopefully with a decent view. I've found a few within 850/900 euro near the plage du midi. is that a good location? seemed so.
But how expensive is daily life?
I'm travelling with my wife and a 1 and a half year old. we plan to mostly have dinner at the apartment, maybe 1 or 2 dinners out. we'll have breakfast and lunch around town or the beach, so we'll mostly get stuff at the boulangerie or a bar.
is 80/100 euro a day a reasonable budget? even a little less?
Economic downturn?
I live in Scotland - my neighbour is ½ French and has a place in Cannes where he is just now.
He messaged me earlier to tell me just how quiet Cannes is this year.
What’s going on? Economic downturn, trump’s war, etc?

Anyone headed to the KLUB events at palm beach?
Would love to catch up with fellow cinephiles and part people! In town for the festival and trying to sneak in a few club nights too!
Also please do suggest other party places. First time in Cannes!
Cannes Film Festival accommodation, villa vs hotel for industry newbie?
I have the opportunity to attend the Cannes Film Festival for the first time next year. I'm going for work in the film industry adjacent but not a major studio player, more independent.
I need to figure out accommodation for about 10 days. I've heard hotels near the Croisette are insanely expensive and book out a year in advance. Villas seem like a potential option, especially if I share with a few colleagues.
But I'm nervous about being too far from the action and missing last-minute meetings or events.
Has anyone done both during the festival? Is a villa viable if you need to be in the mix constantly? Also any areas to look at besides Cannes proper?
The budget is maybe €8-12k total for accommodation.
Help needed for Cannes Film Festival guerrilla marketing campaign
Looking for someone already attending Cannes Film Festival to help with a small guerrilla marketing campaign for my feature film DISREMEMBER.
The film was created entirely by one person (myself) and recently had its US premiere at Cinequest after winning Best Feature at multiple BAFTA/BIFA-qualifying festivals.
The role would involve subtly placing these printed one-person call sheets around key Cannes/Marché locations for a few hours a day over several days (flexible hours). Nothing aggressive or salesy, just about creating intrigue and conversation around the film.
Looking for someone film-industry aware who knows Cannes and is ideally already attending the festival.
This is paid.
Drop me a comment or DM if interested.
Cannes - Events
Hi. I'm an award winning director participating in Cannes this year. I do not have a pass, but I have a week full of meetings due to pitching my film around.
Any events? Parties? Anyone care to show me around?
Thank you.
