Internalized misogyny
I see constant videos on tik tok of women making think pieces on other women like Ariana Grande and Jena Ortega. (I dont agree with or stand by what they’ve done in their personal lives) However, they’re constantly commenting on their bodies, their weight, making fun of them, calling them “malnourished”. I feel like it’s rooted in hatred rather than actual concern or the conversation surrounding it would be different. Although I agree they don’t seem healthy.. we dont know whats going on in their lives and i’ve had times too where life was knocking me down and I was very skinny. (I was too anxious to eat, I would feel nauseous and in constant survival mode.) people would constantly comment on my body and it made it worse. I was trying everything I could to gain weight but it felt like I couldn’t escape my life in any capacity. I dont like when people comment on others bodies in any aspect. It would be blatantly rude to make tik toks about how “big, fat, etc” a woman is and theyd be cancelled instantly. But when its a thin women everyone feels like they can latch on and they wont be criticized for it. Irl and online
