M61 J7. Why wasn't it built?

Just wondering why there's no junction 7 on the M61 and if it did exist, where would it be? I'm guessing in the Adlington area?

🎲 A Board Game Café - Coming to Chorley?

Hey everyone! I'm a huge board game enthusiast, and one of my favourite things to do is explore board game cafés whenever I visit a new city; whether it's a solo trip or a fun outing with the family. It's such a great experience, and I'd love to bring that same magic right here to our doorstep!

As a proud Chorley local, I've noticed that the nearest board game café is all the way over in... Blackburn? which got me thinking... why doesn't Chorley have one? 🤔

So here's what I'd love to know: would YOU visit a board game café in Chorley?

I'm dreaming of a cosy, welcoming space where everyone (families, friends, couples, and solo players alike), can come together over a great game and a delicious drink. Here's what I have in mind:

🏠 A warm and comfortable venue with plenty of room to spread out
☕ A fantastic café serving great food and drinks to keep you fuelled through every game
🃏 Tables specially designed for gaming, big enough for even the most epic setups!
📚 A library of hundreds of games, from quick card games to grand strategy adventures, with something for everyone!

Whether you're a seasoned gamer or have never played anything beyond Cluedo and Uno, you'd be so welcome here!

Drop a comment and let me know: would this be something you'd love to see in Chorley? 👇😊

Parking advice for around Fleet Street

Hi, I’m hoping some locals might be able to help me, I need to park in Fleet Street or one of the car parks in that area of the town in a couple of weeks for about 3-4 hours. How busy do they get on a week day? Which would you recommend? And do ticket machines allow contactless payment?
Thanks

Ever fancied playing DND or RPGs or know someone who might want to try?

Ever fancied playing DND or RPGs or know someone who might want to try?

We host a weekly DND group in Chorley that is open to join. We've been running for about a year now and typically have about 10-20 players each week. We're a friendly bunch and welcome grizzled veterans and complete newbies.

We run on Tuesdays at the Rose and Crown from 7pm every week.

Feel free to drop a comment, message on the fb group or drop me a dm if interested.
