Web comics or physical comics?

Hey guys I just started reading my first ever couple of comics a few days ago and at the moment I'm reading them through my pc on the web. I never owned a comic in my entire life and was wondering if the feel of a real comic is more satisfying to enjoy rather than reading it from a website.

Of course any suggestions for a newbie are greatly welcome and appreciated

Where to start marvel comics universe?

A little bit ago I got marvel unlimited. I knew I wanted to get into these comics for a while, as I am a huge fan of the movies, shows, and other marvel content. My first plan was to start marvel from fantastic four #1 and just keep going till I couldn’t bear it. Now I quickly learned two things: 1. This would practically impossible to catch up to today. 2. I really don’t like how much filler and extra nonsense writing there is in the og comics. So I transitioned and decided to read the main events. I’ve read civil war which I loved. Both secret wars, which were good. Secret invasion and more. I also got very into the ultimate universe a bit ago and began keeping up with every issuer as soon as it is released on unlimited for each series. If I want to have a basic understanding of modern comics or go back and read the best, how should I do it. I don’t wanna keep just picking out the main events like I’ve been doing. I want a story. And preferably a good enough look into the comic versions of the best characters. I watch YouTubers like Andy M. Lee, who just remember a whole bunch of runs and can just bring them up and I seriously wonder how? Like in a recent video he was going over a taskmaster look in insomniac spider man and goes, oh yeah, looks based off his alternate suit from that one time, and I’m thinking. How is this guy just knowing everything.

Is there any archive or Google disc or something with GL comics? Preferably in order

Look, to answer all the questions before I even get them: I understand the rules on this sub but I DO NOT HAVE ANY WAY OF LEGALLY OBTAINING COMICS IN MY COUNTRY RIGHT NOW. No publishers to license and translate, no access to DC subscription, NOTHING. All I can do is either sail the seas or pay horrifically inflated prices to import them and I do not have money for that rn.

So, we know that some fans categorize and archive or scan their favorite stories to help others with access (and that's how I read IDW Transformers saga, found a link to Google disc). But it's kinda difficult to find everything for GL, especially the Johns era is a headache to read, trying to juggle different webpages for different runs. Is there any archive or something just so I can read those stories somewhat comfortably?

Sins of Youth (2000) Reading Order - Young Justice

The formation of Young Justice – initially made up of Robin, Superboy and Impulse – caused a bit of a stir among the Justice League of America. Since then, their numbers have grown, along with the concerns from the JLA.

Arrowette, the Secret and the new Wonder Girl have joined YJ’s ranks. But, even under the watchful eye of the Red Tornado, it seems it won’t be long before Young Justice make a mistake that will result in them being shut down for good…

Tried using AI, didn't really help.

guidance on reading claremonts run

hey everyone, i was trying to write a simpler reading guide for me on the xmen and im still currently on claremonts run (i didn’t realize how much there was 😭😭), but i am stuck on a few things.

characters im interested are jean, cyclops, rogue, gambit, emma, madelyine, & magneto.

rn im planning on skipping the brood saga #144 all the way until #198 (not sure how much it’s worth reading), except i do plan on reading god loves, man kills.

then, once inferno is done, the reading order gets confusing and im unsure if i should pick anything up. i was planning on reading xmen #1-3 and jean and scotts wedding and then heading over to new xmen.

also any recommendations on epic collections/tpb for those characters would be helpful!!

The All in One Ghost Riders/Spirits of Vengeance Reading Order

I'm pretty new to actual comic reading, but I started on the original Uncanny X-Men thanks to this site called The Ultimate X-Men Reading Order that shows every appearance from the x-men I'm pretty sure. I'm hoping I could find something similar or as good as that site bur for the Spirits of Vengeance/every Ghost Rider appearance in the marvel comics. its proving hard to find tho especially since there are some sites that seperate ghost rider appearances by the host character. anyone got anything?

Can Anyone Suggest A Reading Order For The Slaughterverse?

I’m an old school cyberpunk fan (read Neuromancer in the 80s). I stumbled across w0rldt33 when looking for cyberpunk comics. I was impressed with Tynion so after getting current with w0rldtree, I worked my way through Department of Truth, then Nice House. I’m midway through the first Something is Killing the Children Omnibus and will be ordering the second. My question is when should I order and read the House of Slaughter collections? Is there an advantage to waiting on the Second Something is Killing the Children omnibus and reading the first House of Slaughter omnibus in between? Oh, and what about House of Slaughter 6-10. Sounds like the first House of Slaughter omnibus skips them in favor of presenting a complete story arc. Should I buy them separately (or is there a collected volume) and is there a suggestion as to when in all of this I should read them. Thanks In Advance!

How to read comics?

I want to read some western comics but I don't understand where to start.

Some say that you don't have to read something like Spider-man chapter 1 but then what do you read?

Do western comic book media have arcs and then you are supposed to pick your favorite arc?

I made an interactive reading order for the complete Marvel Rivals storyline — 204 entries through Season 9.5

I thought this might fit here even though it isn't a traditional comic-only reading order.

Marvel Rivals tells its story across Hero Stories, Gallery Cards, limited-time events, collectables, tie-in comics and other sources, and a lot of it doesn't make much sense if you simply read everything in release order.

So I created Marvel Rivals Chronicle, an interactive, spoiler-free reading order that currently organizes 204 entries through Season 9.5.

The PDF includes:

  • Mark-as-read checkboxes
  • Direct source links
  • Reading-time and narrative-importance ratings
  • English and Spanish editions

You can look through it online without downloading anything here:

https://archive.org/details/marvel-rivals-chronicle-volume-I

The Internet Archive viewer doesn't support the PDF's interactive features, so downloading it is recommended if you actually want to use the guide.

Project, downloads and structured JSON chronology:

https://github.com/Dzm15/-Marvel_Rivals_Chronicle_Master_file

For transparency, the project was made with extensive AI assistance for research organization, editing, translation, data processing and document production. I personally directed and reviewed the chronology, sources and final releases.

It's a bit different from the usual comic reading orders posted here, but since Marvel Rivals also has tie-in comics and its lore is fragmented across so many sources, I thought some people here might find the chronology interesting.
