[For Hire] Custom Conlang Commissions

Hi! I develop constructed languages (conlangs) for storytelling and worldbuilding purposes. If you are currently working on a creative project and want a conlang for your setting, I currently offer six options for conlangs. Each commission option comes with the following (complexity varies between options):

  • A base vocabulary, plus any affixes/particles you'd like (possibilities may vary based on conlang grammar/morphology)
  • International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) charts detailing the sound inventory of your conlang
  • A corpus detailing the syntax, grammatical constructions, and phonotactic rules of your conlang

Each of my current options are listed below with prices and general details about vocabulary and complexity:

Naming Conlangs (designed for nomenclature, e.g., proper nouns and place names):

Small Naming Conlang: $35 USD

  • 100 root words
  • 50 derivational affixes/particles
  • Short reference grammar

Expanded Naming Conlang: $50 USD

  • 200 root words
  • 100 derivational affixes/particles
  • Short reference grammar

Functional Conlangs (designed for full use in conversation, writing, dialogue, etc)

Simple Conlang: $75 USD

  • 200 root words
  • Any affixes/particles that you would like (max of 150)
  • Detailed reference grammar

Basic Conlang: $100 USD

  • 350 root words
  • Any affixes/particles that you would like (max of 250)
  • Expansive reference grammar

Intermediate Conlang: $125 USD

  • 500 root words
  • Any affixes/particles that you would like (max of 375)
  • Comprehensive reference grammar

Project Scope: Character reference sheet for an original sci-fi setting.

Hello! I am looking to commission a talented illustrator to create a character sheet in an authentic, vintage anime aesthetic. Specifically, I am aiming for the hand-drawn, cell-shaded look of late 1980s to early 1990s sci-fi/mecha anime (think classic Mobile Suit Gundam OVAs like 0080: War in the Pocket, Zeta, or 0083: Stardust Memory).

What I am looking for:

  • Style: Heavy, clean ink linework, distinct hand-drawn hair highlights, classic uniform/clothing folds, and a vintage, slightly muted color palette. No modern digital gradients or high-gloss 3D shading—I want this to look like a high-quality animation cel or a vintage artbook scan.
  • Deliverables: A clean character sheet featuring [e.g., a full-body front view, a back view, and 2-3 expression headshots].
  • References: I will provide a detailed written dossier of the character’s background, uniform design, and some reference images for facial structure and style inspiration.

Requirements:

  • Must have a portfolio that demonstrates experience with retro/90s anime styles, military uniforms/sci-fi gear, or mecha-adjacent character art.
  • Good communication and willingness to share a rough layout/sketch stage for feedback.

i made a HUGE mistake while calculating the price and i already agreed and took the money, what to do???

i wanna stay professional. does it mean losing 800usd for it would be more pro or would a refund (i have the money for the refund) make me unprofessional more. It's my first time accepting an animation commission that's not a second long. if being pro means 3 weeks of work for basically nothing i can bite the bullet but loosing 800 is a huge deal for me. i counted for 6 seconds instead of 60
