Hosted 2 people in the last three weeks as a new host!

I'm new to "couchsurfing" and didn't want to pay for CS but Couchers has been a pleasant experience so far. Hosted two people in the span of three weeks and has been a great time. I'm near the DC area, how has everyone else's experience been?

Couchers.org is dead and Couchsurfing is still alive

I tried Couchers.org for two months. I didn't get a single request. (Meanwhile, I received 10 requests on Couchsurfing and 2 on Trustroots.) If you mention on Couchers.org that you like going to the nudist beach, you get blocked. The site is dead—only 760 followers on Instagram compared to the 760k followers Couchsurfing has. It was a good attempt, but it failed.
