Cubism with Camera and Mirrors
Some years ago I did a project using mirrors and plywood with the intent of creating cubism-style images and following the philosophy of cubism as I understood it at the time, but doing it with the camera. It culminated in hiring a model and taking some photos. The 2 photos here are kind of the "deepest" into cubism ideas that the series went. I had a couple of others that were a little less abstract but still re-arranging some things via the mirrors.
I've not really shared them widely but thought maybe someone in this crowd would like these.

“kung fu” by Lauren Isabel Smith. Various soft pastels and pastel pencils on 9.4 x 12.6” Canson Velvet. 2026
This is one of very few I have done recently that I am proud of. I have been in a creative slump. Anyone else feel like that lately?
