THAT episode rant *spoilers for late s2*

I still think it was unnecessary. Idk fs if it was thom greens decision or not to leave bc ive heard both that it was and it wasnt but idk. I originally thought he did choose to leave so he could shoot Halo 4 (which hes also fantastic in) but after watching the ep of life academy he was on where he said they just called him in their office and said he was gonna get killed off, im confused

So assuming he didnt actually want to leave, i understand them wanting to deal with death but i feel like they didnt have to do it that way. Dance academy does tackle like basically everything holy cow but sammys grandpa already died, i feel like they couldve utilized that more. We couldve seen more of a grieving process with sammy and his family rather than it basically just lasting 1 episode and then getting forgotten. Sure a main character isnt dying but were still seeing a main character mourn and grieve the death of a loved one which isnt that what they wanted?

Also did they not give ben leukemia with the idea of him him being killed off? I love ben but is it that crazy of me to say i wish (if they absolutely HAD to kill someone that is) it wouldve been him instead? Like no hate like i said i love ben but thats literally *why* they gave him cancer in the 1st place was it not? I just feel like the kid whos had cancer since the 1st episode he was on dying *of cancer* makes more sense than sammy randomly getting steam rolled by a car. And i did read somewhere that sammys death was alluding to an actual scene in the red shoes but like cmon. He gets hit by a car? R we serious? This was made for a younger audience, how many kids have actually watched that? (Genuine question actually bc i havent seen it lol)

Tbh i dont really even think anyone *had* to die. Any of the main characters that is. Like i said, sammys grandpa already died just add more to that rather than forgetting ab it right after

Ngl i did quit watching the show after sammy died. I tried watching season 3 but it wasnt the same. I feel like killing the fan favorite is such a bold decision to the point where its a bad decision. So this is just my opinion having not even watched the full show lol
