I just want to warn people about joining random servers without knowing what you are going into, there is this server I joined where people would insult anyone who joined, including talking shit about their parents (which I one of my friend whos mother and father gone, they still make comments about them), the whole environment for this server is toxic and uncomfortable, what made it even worse was that some of the people there are involved about some criminal activity if Im right, and there were voice messages containing gun shots, I really dont know about the context behind those voice messages but hearing things like that was enough for me to realize that this was not somewhere I or anyone wanted to be in.

Honestly, if a server gives you bad feeling from the beginning immeaditly, please leave, you dont owe anyone your time or your attention, especially when a community acting like this.

Never ever join a random servers just because you are curios, its really not worth it finding out whats inside.

If I report the bot nothing happens. I'm just tired of bad moderation, I get that they have thousands of reports each day but if the scam is as obvious as this, the account is already hacked, why don't they just use their automation tools to delete the accounts?

After this I basically pulled a bender from Futurama with blackjack and cookers and forget the blackjack.

Server to avoid in this case was Residence of Evil but this attitude appears to prevail in nearly all of them

As a response I made an age restricted server in which moderators cannot kick or ban, and all bans are discussed amongst staff. We also encourage discussion and respectful debates of topics of intellectual interest like politics, history or theology. Naturally other gaming comes up too haha

Any adults sick of being beholden of rules made by children allowing moderators to run amock banning at will for no reason feel free to come here where you will be placed in any trouble provided you are not disruptive. Seeing as we've only been open one month Id say things are going well and we are filling a niche that I would have to assume was caught after.

Ok so | joined Magister's Book Of Dragons discord server, and when I went to report a bug in the bug report channel, it got deleted. Then I tried bring into it up in the general chat, only to get harassed by rude and condescending responses. Previously I tried everything the description of the mod described on how to tame the dragons from the mod, only to not be successful, eventually I did figure out my problem, but I had to do it on my own and not with the help of the moderators. It seems to me that they have an inside group kinda and don't seem to welcome outsiders.So I can only warn you a bout this server.

Fortunately I was smart enough to try it on an alt account, on a device I dont normally use! If only the default discord client werent a proprietary bloatware blob, users like me wouldnt feel forced to use client mods and alt clients.

This is the second time now. This time i got a violation from within my own server just for using a common bot to bump my server online.

Please tell me this isnt just me? Im not q bot and it wasnt spam, i think the ai is becoming dumb on discord.

So i Finally fixed and removed the Stupid 2FA on my Discord

First you need to have access to the account already logged in Discord and the Email used.

Open settings > Account > View backup Codes.

It will ask your current password then send an email with Verification key .

Next step

Account > Security keys > Delete "yes , remove this key" > Verify with something else > Use a backup code and enter one of the unused 8 digit code.

I hope this fixed your problem with the Fvcking 2 FACTOR AUTHENTICATION of Discord

Just for clarification and to prevent confusion, I'm not referring to the discord servers that have absolutely no moderation and users can say or do whatever they want. In this case, I'm talking about the servers that are way too overly sensitive and enforce their moderation way too hard.

I'm in Beluga's server, and I've only been in it for about a week to find some people to talk to. But what I didn't realize was how awful the forced moderation was.

I was replying to a retired staff's message that was saying "how to leave?? I dont see a button" and I essentially played in on the joke saying "You can't. Discord should add a big ass red 'leave' download-like button from those sketchy sites."

The AI moderation of that server then deleted that message all because I said "ass." Like, seriously? Oh, but it doesn't end there.

Then someone said "chat i'm playing genshin impact, is it good?". Because I was just talking to other people and I didn't really think much of it, I replied saying something like "i don't play genshin impact because i'm not a gooner but i'm pretty sure it's just a generic game that copies all tropes."

Again, unsurprisingly, it flags "gooner" and I get automatically muted for an hour. I don't understand why some servers are like this. That's what happened to me, recently. It's genuinely so frustrating when a server takes their own rules extremely personally.

Discord really needs to step up their shit because this is ridiculous
I cant even share a 13 second video because Discord is one of the greediest platforms ever and everything is bugged out and/or broken
