Had a crazy experience on this Discord server with over 26,000 members—the kind used for learning English and chatting with lots of people. A user complained because my bio said: "An Italian boy with a dream, the dream of fucking you :P" So, they opened a support ticket and told me to change it. After complaining a bit, I was forced to change it, so I put: "An Italian boy with a dream, the dream of [REDACTED FOR SENSITIVE USERS] :P" But we kept arguing anyway, and out of nowhere, I found myself banned :c

Has Anyone Successfully Recovered Their Discord Account After Getting Locked Out by 2FA? If So, How?

I’ve been locked out of my Discord account for almost two years, and it’s getting really close to the point where it gets deleted due to inactivity. This means this is pretty much my last chance to recover my account, so I wanted to reach out to the community for help.

If you’ve successfully recovered a Discord account after being locked out by 2FA, I’d really appreciate hearing how you did it. Even if you haven’t experienced this yourself but know of a possible solution or something I might not have tried, I’d love to hear your suggestions. At this point, I’m willing to try anything that has a legitimate chance of working.

Thanks in advance to anyone who took the time to read this or offer advice. I really appreciate it.

A question to people who were perma banned

So I got perma banned august 11th 2025

And I have a question to all the people who were also perma banned and had their accounts deleted

What are some things you wish you did before your account and data was deleted

So I wanted to know if there is anything I should do before its all gone

(Obviously my data is going to be deleted in 1 month)

AIO when the owner of a discord server accuses me of being disrespectful over a ping emoji?

First things first I know this is already kind of a weird situation. But let me give some context. So recently a public server I joined is getting these crazy Mr Beast spam ping messages. It's like 7 at a time and it pings different chats so it comes up as several pings on my phone. It's crazy annoying especially considering I'm on vacation getting away from things with my gf (unrelated to the story but context!). It happened over 4-6 times over the course of a week and a half in this server alone during said vacation. I figure it happens no big deal. I'll express my displeasure with the situation in the general with an 'angry ping emoji' and just go about my day. I did not receive any reply mentions or personal DM's after the first time it happened and it isn't against the server rules. So naturally I assume everything is fine. I don't really check this server often because it's for a venue in Final Fantasy 14 I only go to occasionally. So I'm not super active unless I'm there for the night.

Fast forward a day or two and the scan happens again. So I hit 'mark read', send the angry ping emoji again in the general and leave it at that. Then I notice I'm getting spam pinged again. Irritating but alright. I notice it's from the server owner. I check the server out of curiosity and notice I've been timed out for a week. No other offenses or warnings. Just full on timeout for a week.

The server spam pings messages saying that I must think they're some sort of joke to them and that they didn't outright ban me because I knew a different server owner and it was out of respect for them. I ask what is wrong and what did I do because I genuinely didn't understand. I expressed that I have been on vacation and haven't been paying much attention to Discord for the past week. They say I was warned not to post the emoji and to knock it off or I would be banned next time. I ask about the warning because no member of the staff of the server had mentioned anything to me and it wasn't against any server rules or ToS. Also prior to her spam messaging me, this was my first communication with them. I mention I have proof that I was never contacted about it but would accept the punishment regardless. Their server their rules right? It's whatever and I didn't really care because, again, I don't really talk much there to begin with.

They get immediately upset again and spam message me again asking repeatedly for the proof I have saved. Saying 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours'. Didn't give me a chance to really respond. Posted their screenshot and continued to ping message me. I calmly showed them that I have @message only turned on and that, though her screenshot shows I was told not to do it, I wasn't notified. I also mentioned that their general moves fast enough that unless I was watching the chat (I had no reason to), I wouldn't have seen the warning unless they had @mentioned me with their reply. I said there was no way to check if they had it turned off. They also accused me of not having the same behavior in other servers when the scam happens there. To which I posted a screenshot of a similar reaction in a different server. I.E., the proof they were begging for. They stop spam pinging me messages saying they had said their piece and then immediately blocked me. This was after saying I 'have to have the last word'.

Little bit broken up story wise but the point is there. I feel massively disrespected and don't feel like I deserve such an angry message over an emoji. AIO?

Association ban

I was in a server that got banned for Child Safety. I sent messages in the server telling ppl to report it and leave. What happens when a server gets banned for Child Safety? Does everyone get reported to law enforcement or do only the ppl who broke rules? Do I need to worry about getting a knock on the door from LE?

How hard is to get human help from discord?

I got kicked out from account because I discord flagged and disabled my account due to suspicious activity, then someone activated 2FA so I can’t login without that authentication, I’ve been sending requests to discord for at least 3 months without getting any response, it’s always Nelly answering that they can’t do anything bc it’s not in their privacy policies to disable 2FA. Can I still get my account back with enough info to prove that I own it?

I fucking hate discord servers

Ok so basically, I joined this problematic server a while ago and they KICKED ME OUT for being PROBLEMATIC. NO I DONT JOIN CP AND RAPE RINGS JN DISCORD DONT ATTACK ME. But if ur gonna make a discord server that's somewhat problematic, why tf r u kicking/banning people out for it? I only go to these servers cus everyone else is too fucking sensitive for what I have to say so I aim for the problematic people since they're more insensitive to things.

I deployed political theory and systems thinking to appeal a false-positive IP ban on Discord. Theirn logic collapsed, called me "corny," and abrupt-closed the ticket

https://preview.redd.it/u3oh7hx0l2bh1.png?width=1353&format=png&auto=webp&s=1b162289dbc99713da2d8b1e81164d5e20b9c9ca

I recently experienced a false-positive ban on a server and a game, and the resulting support ticket turned into a perfect case study on systemic failure, administrative incompetence, and the structural hazards of giving authoritarian power to individuals who lack the cognitive threshold to wield it.

Here is the context: My neighbor (who lives directly next door and operates on the same local network node) cheated in the game and was rightfully flagged. However, the game's automated enforcement system failed to isolate the target, resulting in my account receiving a ban simply due to environmental proximity

I decided to map out the entire interaction as a closed-loop system. Here is a meta-analysis of the factors, variables, and cascading outcomes that occur when automated enforcement meets intellectual capitulation.
The inciting incident was an automated ban triggered by a "shared environment" (two separate accounts operating on the same localized network).

From a systems perspective, the games’s anti-cheat algorithm is operating on a fundamentally broken heuristic. It uses Network Address Translation (NAT) or hardware fingerprinting to map a network location directly to a singular biological identity. The algorithm cannot process the social context of a household, a school, or a public LAN. Because its binary logic is incapable of differentiation, it suffers an epistemic "identity crisis," falsely conflating separate human agents into one malicious entity.

In any automated system, the human moderator is supposed to act as the error-correction mechanism. They exist to process the nuanced, high-dimensional context that the algorithm misses.

When I presented the technical reality of the shared environment to the moderator, the response was a flat: "not our concern no."

This is where the political theory of epistocracy (the rule of the knowledgeable) becomes highly relevant. If a governing authority even a digital one does not possess the baseline cognitive throughput or technical vocabulary to understand the flaws in their own infrastructure, they cannot perform their systemic function. The "processor" (the moderator) was incapable of handling the input (my technical defense). Therefore, the output of their decision was fundamentally constrained by their own intellectual limits.

When a closed system is confronted with logic it cannot process, it defaults to self-preservation. Because the moderator lacked the prefrontal, analytical capacity to bridge the gap between environmental correlation (we share an IP) and proven intent (the act of cheating), they bypassed the evidence entirely.

They resorted to an immediate psychological assumption: "lets just be honest, you cheated... its not a big deal, just dont cheat on the next game."

This is institutional gaslighting designed to lower user resistance. By minimizing the consequences of an unjust ban, the administrator attempts to avoid the operational labor of actually investigating the log data.

I pressed the issue. I asked what specific logic their prefrontal cortex utilized to determine guilt while actively ignoring the environmental context. I challenged their authority to make irreversible decisions when their cognitive abilities were acting as a bottleneck to the truth.

The system instantly broke. Faced with a structural critique they were completely unequipped to counter and the cognitive load too much, the moderator abandoned all pretense of objective adjudication and defaulted to raw, arbitrary power:

"alright you're very corny" "and you're wasting your time now" "bye bye"

They closed the ticket, and immediately after, they banned me from the Discord community.

Fuckass discord mod bro 😭💀🥀

Okay so I gotta vent rq (WARNING CUSS WORDS) So I joined a discord server that was for a streamer and was joking around and posted that one mod image of the reddit mod meme. Now one of the mods said to me, "imagine playing vrchat" to wich I proceeded to give him a sarcastic awnser because I didn't really do anything for him to be mean besides the meme. After a bit of sarcastic back and forth he muted me for a whole hour and says "have fun being muted" and I told him it's mod abuse which he said he doesn't care and won't get kicked from being a mod cause he's friends with the server owner. Btw this guy called multiple people a bitch for no reason. So me being me I dm'd him and confronted him for his actions. and the server owner banned me saying I harrased him. he's the one that called everyone a bitch for no reason.

And he's straight up just a asshole. People like this give discord mods the dumb reputation..... If you guys can report this guy

I’ve been wrongfully banned from the discord server named Tiko (Health & Friends server)

Not too long ago, (I’m 27 year old guy) I’ve been banned because I called the girl’s selfies (18 year old girl) cute because I thought she’d appreciate hearing that and it was sorta my way to make friends. However as soon as that happened, I immediately got banned from that server because THEY thought I was the one flirting with her when I had no way of doing that. This lead me became extremely angry and upset…

Am I even wrong for that, or are they actually stupid??? I’ve told some people about it, two of them, maybe three, would say they’ll look into it and might do something about it, other than that… I don’t even know what I can do about that….

I’m genuinely outraged at this situations, all I tried to do is to be nice.. I should’ve known something was up when THAT girl said “oh are you flirting with me?” … I’m like “no? Even if I did, that’d be against server rules”

… I don’t know if it was my miscommunication, or that girl was extremely fishy. As right now I’m taking a step back from discord for good reasons.

So tell me, am I in wrong or not?? Because i genuinely want to know…

Check your server lists!

I hope this post is allowed.

As the title says, please all of you, go through your server list and leave all the servers you dont recognize/chat or even go in. Alot of people are getting banned due to this, mostly due to accs being hacked with perms to those servers and either changing the names/contents of the server to tos breaking names/contents. Theres been quite a bit of this to get alot of people banned at random. This way you we can somewhat limit the crossfire bans when hackers/idiots go around purposely doing things to cause ban waves. Again, i hope this post is allowed.

Discord flat out hates me for sending friend requests

This app is such a goddamn joke, 5th fucking violation and now I'm suspended all because I did something as sinister as sending actual friend requests to people. I've also sent appeals to Discord Support, only for no one to respond, but I bet they'll do any good considering Clyde would do jack shit about my previous violations when I got temporarily limited (they assumed my acc was banned at the time when it wasn't the case) and absolutely no one would respond to my general question tickets either (I only get Nelly involved)

Double Counter sucks and NEEDS to be abolished.

So my main account got hacked by that unknown and infamous MrBeast gambling scam twice, thus I decided to move on to a brand new account and factory reset my computer but on the old account, I made a mistake of verifying double counter.

As there is no way to un-verify an abandoned account even if it’s closed/deactivated.

Isn’t that just unfair for the average discord user that just wants to move on and be secure?!

Why do the double counter staff still standby that unfair rule?

deleting discord

so i decided to finally delete discord because i was addicted to it. i had a bunch of friends in this one server, and when one of them told me “no one actually liked you, we all just tolerated you” i got so sad and decided to delete the app entirely. i don’t think this is the only reason i deleted discord though, my ocd kind of amplified the urge to delete discord by telling me shit. anyways, i hope i get used to not having discords, because i keep trying to find the app but then remember i deleted it. i want to install it back so bad, but let it fuck off i guess.

Are those people even there?

Discord's bullshit knows no bounds. After creating the new account, I'm scared to even go to servers. Why? Because I don't wanna increase my stress. I swear, each time I join a new server, I'll immediately feel unwelcome. Last time I joined one and uploaded a completely safe, harmless, easy to watch meme, some mod deleted it for FUN. And for some reason just made a random statement, and a random kid jumps into the conversation and sends a GIF of a guy kicking a guy (supposedly me). When I said "why did you reply if I wasn't talking to you specifically and wasn't bringing up anything related to you, along with the fact you didn't say anything relevant either?" Some mod replied "*dies of cringe*" TO ME? I swear, people behind those screens are dead. Absolutely dead. I'm in no servers. I only use discord's for my friends' DMs. It's because discord's become a place where you're probably better off in your comfort zone.
