$1300 repair?!?

How far DJI has fallen in the repair sector 😔 how can a gimbal *repair* be almost $600 when a gimbal replacement on ebay is less than $300. Also, why cant a new SD card reader be soldered on instead of replacing the entire motherboard?

Non charging dji mavic pro battery

Hello, I recently bought mavic pro 1st-generation one battery works and when I plug the second one into the charger, it flashes green for a moment and then stop, and the power brick lights up red. The other one charge normally. This is really upsetting me. Could someone please advise me on what to do? I’d really appreciate any help. Thank you very much.

I love flying drones but hate spending hours editing. So I built a Windows app to auto-sync flights to music (free tier/local processing).

Hey everyone,

Like many of you, I love getting out and flying my drone. But as a busy dad, I realized my SD cards were filling up with awesome flight footage that just sat there because I didn't have 3 hours to open Premiere/DaVinci and cut a video together.

I wanted to turn my raw flights into a polished, music-synchronized montage in minutes, so I built E2DM2 (Easy Epic Drone Movie Maker).

How it works:

  1. Import your videos: Drag & drop your drone footage.
  2. Choose a soundtrack: Select a music track to set the energy.
  3. Sync & Produce: The app cuts and synchronizes your video beats to the music.

A few things I made sure to implement:

  • Selection Mode: You can "paint" the exact moments you want to keep or exclude on the timeline so the automation doesn't cut out your favorite shots.
  • 100% Local Processing: Your video clips never leave your computer (no cloud uploads).
  • Free Version: The base app is completely free to use. There's a Pro upgrade ($19.95 launch price) if you want custom soundtracks, 4K rendering, or custom visual effects.

I’m hosting the download at www.e2dm2.com. If you have a Windows machine and some unedited drone footage sitting on your hard drive, I’d love for you to try it out and let me know what you think!

Happy flying!

Issues with color

I record on D-log, no matter if I set my white balance to 5,500k, My videos look too cold after the Rec 709. conversion, I still can manage to color grade it correctly, but my question is this normal?

Mavic Pro unused and stored for 4 years giving a gimbal motor overload error

I was given a Mavic Pro, it hasn't been used for years. First thing I had to do is to get the batteries repaired, I was told that they done zero cycles. Eventually after getting the DJI Go 4 app and the latest firmware installed the drone did eventually fly but only a very short distance, I was getting constant 'gimbal motor overload' errors. The drone landed safely. I did try a gimbal calibration test but it only completed 5% before quitting.
Reading some other 'gimbal motor overload' solutions, it seems that a ribbon cable may need replacing?
Would this be the case or is there any other causes?
Yes, the shield and guard were removed before it was flown. The gimbal moves smooth and free without any tightness or restriction.
Any suggestions to why I'm encountering the problem will be appreciated. TIA

Looking for my first drone and is a mini 3 a good entry with the fly more pack

My wife wants one and I honestly am curious. However don’t want to spend much since it might end up unused most year around until holidays. The fly more 3 is around 380 euro Pro4 is near 1k . Lito 1x is about double the price so there are hardly options out there I assume. Is it still a decent buy?

Magic Air 1, opposite of droney? Zoom towards person?

I've got the original Magic Air, and while I know it has a mode to zoom up out/away from a person, is there a mode or option to zoom in from an elevated position towards a person stopping at a safe position or set point?
