I did a MyHeritage test. It was okay but it wasn’t detailed enough for me. I downloaded my results and ran it through dnagenics both the Aeta Antiqua K54 and the Modern Civilizations K98. I felt the results were more accurate and consistent with family stories about distant Spanish and Chinese ancestry.
I also found a baptismal record from 1806 labelling my great 2x grand parents as “mestizo de sangley” (mixed Chinese and native Filipino).
The last 2 pics are a deeper dive into the minority DNA (low coverage DNA Report). Most of that remote distant ancestry looks to East Asian and then Spanish.
Most of my ancestors lived around 200km from Manila (Laguna and Batangas) near many ports and trade routes. I think my ancestry accurately reflects the history of the Philippines and the region we originate from.
