New 2nd daily - Poor mans 1M.

2 months in - Pretty happy with the platform so far. First BMW was an E46 Touring but have been a long time Audi nerd and decided it was time to move on to a new platform.

2008 135i

6 speed

M package

Coming from an old Audi, this thing has such good road manners and handles well for being stock on all season tires.

I don't really have any plans at this moment but I would like to add a tune & supporting modifications but primarily focus on suspension and a more aggressive tire setup.

Maintenance is first, however. The car has a little bit of a lifter tick when cold (not injectors, follows RPM) - the "beat the hell out of it" method for bleeding the lifters didn't really work.

Otherwise, mechanically pretty solid.

Dried silicone sealent bits inside engine

Like the title says, I was doing diy valve cover replacement on my 2009 bmw 128i with the n52 engine and as I was putting on the the new cover, a decent bit of dried silicone bits from the new gasket fell inside the engine. They are flaky and very small. Should i remove it and clean it before putting it back on? Or is it okay to leave it like this?

Can't believe I almost sold

Was getting ready to. Sell, and in the process of getting everything ready for sale I realized I couldn't.
