Evil Dead Franchise Sucks Imho

After watching more of the Evil Dead franchise, I’ve realized this style of horror just isn’t for me.

I understand why some people enjoy it... but I find it lacking in the areas that usually make horror interesting to me: story, atmosphere, character development, and a sense of purpose. The movies often feel like they rely more on excessive gore and chaos than building a meaningful narrative.

What frustrates me most is that there never seems to be a clear hero’s journey or a satisfying way to overcome the evil. The Deadites feel almost unstoppable, and the lore is only explored in small pieces without giving much depth or explanation.

For some people, the over-the-top violence and absurdity are exactly what makes the franchise fun, and I respect that. But personally, I find it flat and repetitive. It feels like the gore has become the main attraction rather than something supporting a larger story.
