Hi everyone, there is a new tool that lets you export aaf out of Final Cut Pro. It's called AAF Everything and comes with a workflow extension that allows direct export without any fcpxml intermediate.

I'm currently trying to recover an old video project after a system crash. I have all the original source footage safely backed up, but my project file is in the legacy .fcp format. Since I no longer have access to a Mac running Final Cut Pro 7, I can't open it or native-import it into Adobe Premiere.
If anyone still maintains a legacy Mac setup with FCP 7, would you mind opening the file and doing a quick File → Export → XML for me? The file itself is only a few megabytes.
