My first time ever seeing this gorgeous flower! Quite a few at that. Larval host for the large lace border moth.

Found out the hard way these flowers are very delicate—I lightly touched a stem to make my camera focus and POOF! All petals gone.

Who else loves biking or driving down random roads to encounter cool plants? Tis easily one of my favorite pastimes in this summer heat.

A critically endangered plant that lives only in several sand dune areas in Palm Beach County. I found one yesterday. It is currently blooming. This photo shows the evolution from a bud to seed in one photo
