Only ten entrants and Beginner Singles is already stacked for Tornado Worlds!

Only ten entrants and Beginner Singles is already stacked for Tornado Worlds!

I am sure that WFT will fix it, but I was surprised to see one of the top players in the world casually entered in the Beginner Singles field for next month.

I am looking forward to seeing him and Adam play in person, though. Just maybe not in the Pro-Am.

How many tables at world’s this year??? What lave your bets!

So yeah last year at world’s they had 100 tables and needed to use all of them. The turnout is expected to be much larger this year so what’s the magic number of tables gonna be??? Place your bets 120, 150, 200 tables???
Tell me a number but if it’s like 117 or 203 I’m gonna give you the side eye.

The Pre-Worlds updated ratings are available on WFT Play.

They only really matter for seeding, since no one moves up until after that tournament. I am not sure how much they matter even for that in the lower divisions, where the number of new entrants and returning players is likely to be very high and more relevant than in higher groups.

It is interesting to see who is moving up. I would like to see WFT publish a full list of promotions at the end of the season, especially since that information is already available to those who have the patience to look it up.

By looking up likely candidates I have found only one person on the cusp of Pro-Master - Hannah Bufkin is sitting at 4999. Oakes and Stahl Jr. are both within 50 points. That could all change depending on performance relative to seed in the tournament, of course.
