What is wrong with the tech industry in 2026
Why is it so hard to get a job?
I genuinely want to understand what is happening with the tech job market right now
I’ve been applying for developer roles since June 2026. I’ve sent out a lot of applications, but so far I’ve mostly received no response at all with only a few rejections
What’s frustrating is that it’s not even about getting rejected after an interview I’m struggling to get a response or reach the interview stage in the first place
I’m a 2026 graduate looking for entry-level developer opportunities, and at this point I’m honestly confused about what I’m doing wrong 😕
Is the 2026 tech job market really this bad for freshers?
For people who recently managed to land a developer job can you guys tell what actually helped you get interviews? Is applying on LinkedIn/Naukri/Indeed still effective? Should freshers be focusing more on referrals, networking, or something else? Are projects actually helping, or do companies mostly filter based on experience?
If you’re currently job hunting too, I’d also love to hear about your experience
And if anyone has advice, recommendations, or resources for a fresher trying to break into tech, I’d genuinely appreciate it. I’m willing to improve whatever I’m doing wrong I just need to figure out what actually works in this market
