Hayden, L'Hannah, and baby Emerald could use our help

Hi all -- just wanted to loop everybody in that the Pedigo family has been in the Natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for the last 100 days on account of baby Emerald being born very early. If there was something you were eyeing on Hayden's bandcamp, grab it, if you can share this post widely to communities where you think it will land, do that, or donate to the gofundme set up by Hayden's manager linked here: https://gofund.me/a3af20bdc

Me And My Family Are Facing Eviction And We Need Help

I never wanted it to come to this, but my family is running out of options and we need help. our landlord suddenly raised the rent and even started charging us for animals out of nowhere, and now we’re in the process of being kicked out of our home. it’s been scary, exhausting, and honestly overwhelming trying to keep everything together especially since I wanna help my mom so much but don't know what to do.

We’ve tried so many different options already to avoid ending up here, but nothing has been enough. i’m asking for help now because i do not want my family to become homeless. if you’re able to donate anything, even a small amount, it would mean more than i can explain. if you can’t donate, sharing this would still help us a lot.

please read the gofundme if you want the full story and more details about what we’re going through: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-tatianas-family-through-tough-times

Ps this is the only proof my mom was able to find...

Young couple trying to save for our first forever home after a difficult few years ❤️

Hi everyone,

I never imagined I'd be writing something like this, but here goes.

I'm a 25-year-old educator from Malta, and for a long time I genuinely believed I'd spend my life alone. Then I met the love of my life online. After months of long-distance calls, he made the huge decision to leave his home in the US and move across the world so we could build a life together.

The last couple of years haven't been easy.

We escaped a difficult and unhealthy home situation and have been renting ever since. Like many young couples, nearly half of what we earn goes towards rent, making it incredibly hard to save for a deposit on our own home.

Last year we also experienced the heartbreak of losing our first baby through miscarriage. It was one of the hardest moments of our lives.

Then, one week before our due date, something unexpected happened. We heard tiny cries coming from our car engine and found a little orange kitten trapped inside. We named him Tiger, and he quickly became part of our little family. He brought laughter back into our home when we needed it most.

Our dream isn't a luxury house or anything extravagant. We simply want a safe place to call our own—a home where we can build happy memories, welcome future children one day, and finally feel settled.

If anyone would like to help, even the smallest donation or simply sharing our fundraiser means more than you know. If you're unable to donate, thank you for taking the time to read our story.

Here's our GoFundMe:
https://gofund.me/558c9f1c8

Thank you for believing in our little family.

❤️ Chrissie, Liam & Tiger 🐈

Local teacher hit by car, struggling

NJ limits pedestrians hit by cars (at no fault of their own) to the drivers insurance policy. We don’t need car insurance when we walk everywhere. This is bogus and inapplicable and has caused a dear friend to get immensely f**ked over.

She is a local teacher and fitness instructor. Her family grew up in Hoboken. Now, she is looking at the possibility of lifetime disability from a Lisfranc injury.

I think more than anything her situation highlights a gap in our system for people to fall through. Limited settlement options, long term health issues, compiled with a 6 month delay in disability funding at no fault of her own. She’s lucky she has family that she is able to borrow from, for now. She’d be homeless without them.

Coming on 8 months since her accident, she is still receiving delayed timeline for full recovery, thus extending her ability to return to work.

I also hate that the city claims victory of “no pedestrian fatalities in 9 years” but pays no heed to the high number of near misses and life changing injuries that keep snowballing.

Pedestrian crosswalks need to be more visible, there needs to be consequences for distracted driving, and the state needs to require higher insurance coverage for uninsured pedestrians.

She’s your neighbor, your babysitter, your teacher, your friend. The smile at the coffee shop. Share/donate if you can https://gofund.me/76c61b185

Trying to get back on my feet - any help is deeply appreciated

I honestly never thought I'd be posting something like this.

A while ago I went through a difficult period in my personal life. During that time, I ended up with a rental property still in my name. Things got out of hand and I'm now facing rent arrears and have to clear the property within the next few days.

I'm not trying to avoid my responsibilities. I work full-time, I've already arranged a repayment plan for the debt and I'm doing everything I can to sort this out. The problem is that the cost of clearing the property comes all at once, and I simply can't cover it on my own.

So, with a lot of hesitation, I've started a GoFundMe. If anyone is able to help, even with a small amount, I'd be incredibly grateful. And if donating isn't possible, sharing the fundraiser would also mean a lot.

Thank you for reading.

My high school friend's family lost loved ones, homes, and businesses in the Venezuela earthquakes. I'm trying to help them rebuild.

I met Alessandra De La Correia in high school in Venezuela nearly 20 years ago. Like many Venezuelans, we both eventually left the country because of the political and economic situation. She moved to Vienna, Austria, and I moved to Florida, but we have remained close friends.

On June 26, two earthquakes struck La Guaira, Venezuela. Most of Alessandra's family was still living there, specifically in the coastal communities between Caraballeda and Caribe, among the hardest-hit areas.

The earthquakes claimed the lives of her grandmother, María Pestana, and her cousin, Claudia De La Correia, who was killed when a building collapsed during dance practice. Thankfully, Alessandra's uncle Eloy, a former military officer, was able to locate and recover the bodies of both his daughter and his mother. Many other families in the area are still searching for their loved ones.

Alessandra's parents lost their home, and the family businesses that supported several members of the family were destroyed. In a country where access to insurance, credit, and financial assistance is extremely limited, rebuilding will be especially difficult.

After speaking with Alessandra and her relatives, I created a GoFundMe to help. The fundraiser was temporarily paused while GoFundMe completed a lengthy verification process, but it has now been restored and transfers are expected to begin soon.

Thanks to the generosity of strangers, friends, family members, and kind people online, we have raised more than $15,000 so far. We are incredibly grateful. However, the family's needs remain much greater as they continue to face funeral expenses, temporary housing costs, and the long process of rebuilding their lives.

If you are able to donate or simply share the fundraiser, it would mean a great deal. I am happy to answer questions and provide photos, documentation, news coverage, and any verification needed.

Thank you for taking the time to read their story.

My Sickle Cell Anemia SC journey

Hello everyone, I wanted to open up and share a major update about what’s been going on in my life as of recently. As some of you may know, my name is Maximus Ortiz-Brown, I am 19 years old and I work as a kids Entertainment Supervisor at Great Wolf Lodge. What a lot of people don’t know about me is that I was born with a blood disease called Sickle Cell Anemia (SC), a condition that turns my normal red blood cells from a circle into a sickle shape or kind of like a half moon. Because of this, my blood gets clogged easily, restricting blood and oxygen delivery and resulting in a pain crisis. A pain crisis is a form of pain that I get from my disease, leading to pain ranging from my bones, my back, my chest, and any limbs on my body, coming in forms of stabbing, throbbing, and excruciating pain.

As of last Monday, after pushing through a rough 6-day work week, I finally had a day off on June 29th. I was supposed to spend that day saying goodbye to my younger sister, who is moving to Michigan with my mom and stepdad for college. Instead, I woke up to unbearable pain in my chest that left me unable to breathe, and fighting alongside excruciating pain in my lower back. I am currently living with my best friend because my parents are leaving, and thankfully she was there to call an ambulance. They gave me a breathing tube and got me to the hospital safely. Because of my Sickle Cell, severe pain is something I’ve grown up having to fight since I was a kid. Since the age of 8, I’ve routinely received epidurals to numb the lower half of my body during severe crises. It’s always been routine for me up until this time on Monday, June 29th. Unfortunately, the procedure went wrong for the first time, and a blood clot formed in my back right next to my spine. I had to be rushed into immediate thoracic spine surgery to remove the clot, a complex procedure where surgeons had to adjust my spine and place titanium plates.

Tragically, since the surgery, I have had no feeling from my belly button down. Right now, I am pushing myself every single day in physical therapy, working as hard as I can to get my body moving again. While we haven't seen results just yet, I am refusing to let this break my spirit. I am staying as positive, optimistic, and hopeful as possible for the future. I will be in the hospital for about 3 months, and the funds raised will help cover medical bills, support my recovery, and help me get back on my feet after leaving the hospital. I also need a stair machine to access the bathroom in my house and to also get upstairs. Any help, prayers, or kind words you can offer mean the world to me during this recovery. Thank you all so much for your incredible love and support. It keeps me going.

Help me save by baby Arti

Hello 💛 I just wanted to share something really close to my heart, I was unsure if this was allowed on this subreddit but it wasn’t clear in the community rules, I apologise if it’s not.

My baby Quaker, Arti, is going through a tough time after several vet visits. He was sold to me already sick with E. coli and other bacteria, and despite everything I do, the vet bills are piling up. If you’re able to help, even just by sharing, it would mean a lot. Thank you so much.

Assistenzhund braucht Hilfe

https://gofund.me/1c3d215b1

Nun braucht Eywa selbst dringend Hilfe.

Help the De La Correia Family Rebuild After Losing Loved Ones, Homes & Income in the Venezuela Earthquake

My friend Alessandra De La Correia and her family were devastated by the recent earthquake in Venezuela.

In this tragedy, they lost two beloved family members: Alessandra's grandmother, Maria Pestana, and her cousin, Claudia De La Correia. Several relatives also lost their homes, and the family's businesses were severely damaged and looted in the aftermath of the disaster.

The family is now facing the heartbreaking challenge of grieving their loved ones while trying to rebuild their lives from scratch.

I've organized this GoFundMe to help them cover immediate needs such as housing, basic necessities, and recovery expenses.

Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean the world to them. If you're unable to donate, sharing the fundraiser would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read their story.

Euthanasia help

Hi. My faithful rescue dog and in turn my saviour Mia (I am fighting depression and anxiety) is at the end of her life but I do not have the funds available to let her go peacefully.

I am asking for the funds to cover the vets bill of letting her go to the rainbow bridge.

She has been suffering for the last month. And I have been trying to help her as much as I can. But it has been pointless. She is 14 years old and for a German shepherd that is a good age.

She deserves to go in peace.

This is a thank you post and a more detailed repost

We are a couple. I live my everyday life in a wheelchair. My dream is the triride device as a young person with a disability. That's why we would like to ask for help so that I can get a small motor (triride) for my wheelchair, which I can use for long distances. This device makes it safer and easier to get around on hills and in forests. This is not supported. Unfortunately, my campaign stopped at 9%, but I finally managed to reach my goal. We would like to buy some assistive devices that would be needed for sports and experiences. The experience of movement is for everyone!

What is triride? Triride was born with the goal of creating an electric device that can operate a manual wheelchair and provide the user with greater and more impressive mobility in both everyday work and leisure.

Thank you for supporting us! Thank you for supporting the goal of a cheerful young person with disabilities! A little goes a long way. Walking, sports, and freedom are for everyone. Thank you for checking out the collection and supporting it. 9% of the goal achieved! Thank you for all your support! https://gofund.me/530ae38af

Emergency roof replacement ahead of hurricane season / insurance cancellation

My elderly, diabetic, retired, fixed-income parents have to replace their rotting roof before they get dropped by their insurance or a hurricane tears it off. I'm disabled and my ability to help is extremely limited. We've raised $85/$13,855 for the minimum quote.
