I prefer GT4’s stiff style camera, it makes it much easier to control the car and it in my opinion gives the game its own personality. I prefer GT4’s camera specifically over the later GTs too even though those too caught up with the stiff camera simply because it’s positioned closer to the car there than in GT5P onwards. While I can definitely see why the majority prefers GT3’s camera, for me it felt too loose, and it always made me misunderstand the car’s behavior, causing me to spin out.

Why does GT4 online run so much worse than standard GT4 on original hardware?

When i was playing spec 2 for the first time on my ps2 a while ago, i noticed that basically any time there was more than 3 or 4 cars on screen, there would be noticeable slowdown and it would go into the halved resolution mode, whereas with standard GT4, this would very rarely happen even with 6 cars on screen.

I originally thought there some hidden spec 2 enhancements that were causing this or something, but i tested normal GT4 online and it was the eame case there too.

I know there was some small changes made with GT4 online, but i don't see how any of them would change the performance this much.

If anyone has an answer to this useless question, i would be very interested.

Tips on how to better “play” in B-Spec mode

Although it seems to be pretty simple to play in B-Spec mode, any tips on how to pick the better pace, or when to overtake or do a pitstop would be greatly appreciated.

How to unlock MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V in GT4 Spec II?

[SOLVED]
In the original game, it was meant to be unlocked by wining El Capitan 200 miles endurance race, and I have completed it a long time ago, but since the owner of the "mod" made some changes, I can't find the info about how to unlock that car.

Hey, finally did it.

I’ve spent so many hours with Spec II, driving, understading the cars, trying to beat some records.

Just wanted to share that I did 100% today and it feels like I have to do it all over again. Magic game, just timeless.

Thinking about going to Enthusia on the PS2 next.

How do I fall in love with Gran Turismo 4 and motorsport?

Since I had my PS2 in 2001 or 2002, my father bought it with the Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. That was when my love for motorsport and music was born. Years passed until 2009 when my grandfather bought me what would be the final game Gran Turismo 4. I enjoyed it a lot. Never play Gran Turismo mode, my childish mind full of optimism would always go through the Arcade area and its only 245 cars (not knowing that I could get many more when completing the game) unfortunately my PS2 was so old that the Gran Turismo 4 I had did not read it correctly and when entering some races the charging system went from white to red. That discourages me, and years later, in 2015 or 2016, my PS2 gave its last moment of life. 16 years of pure fun. Today, at the age of 25, I still enjoy this wonderful game on my cell phone in the Aethersx2 emulator.

ARMSX2 GRAN TURISMO 4 GFX ISSUE

This is GT4 Spec II 1.10 on iPhone 15 ProMax the game runs very well in the main menu and even in race preview before starting, but as soon as I start the race this happens and the FPS drops. This also happen on the Vanilla version of Gran Turismo 4. Would appreciate all the help I could get
