I don’t understand. I have over 90 hours on this game and have watched Atleast 10 hours of tutorials. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong I’m even on the easiest mode but nothing seems to be going right for me. Does anyone have any advice?
Im curious to know how many hours you spent before your first win in hoi4?
I’ve had 50 hours now, watched tutorials and tips on YouTube and all, but I still suck. I’ve been playing with a friend, him as Germany and me as Italy. To be fair I was doing fine during the war but supply was crippling me after a bit, and imports are mess since uk controls many of them.
We have tried 3 times now, we barely got past invading Poland and never get past invading even Belgium!
What are we doing wrong??
With Germany, I've mastered the land, it takes me days to conquer poland, baltics, france.
Africa/middle east is a breeze.
But I can't seem to invade the UK.
What worked in the past:
Invading Norway, loring the uk fleet to the english canal, then switching all air/naval forces to the sea between norway and english and invading the northern england.
Since the latest patch I fail to do so + trying to win by naval forces in the english canal just gets my navies destroyed (even with absurd air domination, nuking all british ports) - i can't seem to invade UK. never enough naval domination.
What am I doing wrong? Should I just try paradropping instead? sounds like a bad plan to me.
Hoi4 is currently on sale for 10€ for a few more days. Is it worth to buy only the base game right now and maybe buy dlcs later, if I like it? Also I used to play games like Openfront and ages of conflict quite a lot.
I picked up Hearts of Iron 4 on the steam sale, I've been interested in the game for awhile, but what are some tips to help with understanding the game
I don’t understand how resistance works. If you look at Poland it’s 42%. I made a MP division template and it’s 20 horses + MP. Combat width 40. Do I actually build these units and station them there or is it automatic? What can I do to turn this around?

Was playing multiplayer with a friend and we were playing non historical,we ended up with a pretty much red world and decolonisation AND a buncha wars,he had no issues,while I was on lik two frames per second💔💔
I bought the game yesterday and did the tutorial (Italy) set up an army brought planes over. Set up a front line and offensive line with 18 standard units against Ethiopia and lost all the ground within a week. I even had foughts on the territory.
My game is all updated but ever since a few days after the update, my game crashes when loading into matches (I can reach the HoI 4 main menu but loading into games) I did revert my HoI to an earlier version, but then switched it back. Provided are a list of all the mods i have that are active (It also crashes from Equestria at War playthrough.) Is it VNR? Any help is appreciated.
I have been experimenting with making a program that calculates when you should start building mils instead of civs. What should be the goal of this program to get the best industry? Maximize the amount of mils by wartime? Amount of IC produced by certain date? Amount of mils a year before war? What's a good idea to base the program on if anyone has any ideas?
