Please do not use Beaveryexpress

They picked up my package after 2 weeks from gillanders auction on hibid, then proceeded to take 5 days to estimate the shipping and then invoiced me 73.99 (cad) for a small exit sign (the exit sign was 3.90), I am in Nova Scotia, its ridiculous to charge that much for shipping within canada for the size of it.

FairHammer, Unique Auction extension focusing on sold / closed lot prices.

FairHammer AI is now available on the Chrome Web Store!

This buyer's tool gives you a real advantage when placing your maximum bid on an item. Simply search for an item title or any keyword, and within seconds you'll see what that item sold for on the r/hibid platform in the past. You'll also get comparable listings for similar items ending soon on eBay.

With this information, you can make smarter bidding decisions, refine your pricing strategy, and better determine when it's worth pushing your bid and when it's time to stop. You can also choose a better-value alternative if available on eBay closing soon.

The app is also coming to the Google Play Store in the next few days, and hopefully to the Apple App Store by the end of July 2026.

Good luck, and happy bidding!

Be careful of buying fake bullion!

I just want to warn people to be careful. Although I have a feeling the people that are bidding on these items, probably are older and might not use Reddit. So my attempts to warn the right people will probably be pointless.

Nonetheless, I was browsing through an auction on HiBid; the company is called West End Auction out of Eugene Oregon and they have an auction going on right now titled "Great Online Estate Auction June 18-25th"

I came across some Silver Bars and people have already bid up to $130 and there's still nearly 2 days left before closing, but as I was looking up what counterfeit bars look like, the bars that West End Auction has listed look quite possibly like they're fake. There's a website called FakeBullion that shows comparison photos and although the counterfeits don't usually have a serial number, if they do, it'll be laser etched rather than stamped. And the counterfeits will usually look rather shiny compared to authentic bars.

I kind of feel bad for the people getting tricked into spending their money on fake crap. if my grandma was buying fake silver bars, I'd do everything in my power to convince her that she needs to be more cautious because a lot of people will gladly take advantage of others, given the chance. ☹️
