hi i just purchased the akg-eo-ig 955 with spin fit w1 and i am slightly disappointed i hear my song with a lot of details but some notes in the mid are not sustain long enough it feels like there is not enough occlusion

they sound really good on electronics sounds but terrible in video game (despite insane spatialisation) i also tried the peq db auto eq and find it worst than without eq especially the mid

idk should i go further and buy the calibration device ?

I’m considering the HIFIMAN HE1000 Stealth and would like to use it with a Qudelix 5K, primarily from my iPhone.

I know the Qudelix can probably get the HE1000 Stealth loud enough, but I’m more interested in whether it can drive it properly and get close to its full performance.

For anyone who has actually tried this combination:

• Does the Qudelix 5K have enough power/headroom?
• Is the 3.5 mm output sufficient, or is 2.5 mm balanced noticeably better?
• At normal listening levels, do you notice any improvement in dynamics, bass control, soundstage, or overall performance when moving to a more powerful desktop amp?
• Roughly how much of the HE1000 Stealth’s potential would you say the Qudelix 5K delivers?

I’m not looking to listen extremely loud. I’m mainly trying to determine whether the Qudelix 5K is a genuinely good pairing or merely something that can technically make the HE1000 Stealth loud enough.

I’d especially appreciate input from anyone who has compared the HE1000 Stealth on the Qudelix 5K against a good desktop setup.

Hello everyone, recently Ive decided that it was high time to replace my Logitech Z3 with something better. Ive red up a bit and decided to go with used Elac EL 160II. They seemed in good overall conditon, no issues when tested, instrumental music was awesome on them so I got them.

Which leads us to my questions. Ive been reading on amps and Ive decided that I probably want new. Prices of used 30 y.o. amps just dont make sense to me. Ive been looking at Yamaha A-S 701(which I would pair with SMLS SU9n) or JBL SA550 with no additional gear(at least for now). JBL is some 400e higher priced than Yamaha, which is pretty much the cost of DAC. I really like how JBL was described as musical, warm and rich. Ive heard some JBL speaker before and loved the sound. Is the 10 watt in Class A marketing or is it actually so different from modern class AB? What do you guys think? Im new to this hifi game so I might be missing something else. Ive looked recommended used amps as well and while there are some interesting options Im pretty sure Ill end up paying for full restoration plus DAC unit with bluetooth capability which brings the price to somewhere close to new Yamaha (800e) or JBL(1200e). Ive learned the hard way that trying to save money usually ends up more expensive anyway with bonus hassle. So maybe Id pay more for some peace of mind. I am not looking for THE best system, but I do want something very good that Ill enjoy listening to.

I have been searching online if I can find EO-IG955 somewhere here in India, But was not able to find any, So I am planning to buy EO-IC100 instead. Is that a bad move?

On the peqdb website there is a model called eo-ic100, however there is "Samsung earphones tuned by akg", I auto eq'd on the peq db, then i downloaded the diamond curve and went on Hifiasmr's auto-eq website since he has a specific curve for the model "eo-ic100" and uploades the diamond target
