Cal Poly student looking for rv hookup

If you know anyone who is able to provide a hookup please help me get in contact

I'm a student who needs a RV parking space (I don't particularly care if it's someones house or just some area with ability to hook up).
I have a dog, Anatonian/Aussie mix he is quiet and very people freindly.

The rv is a 19ft 5th wheel from 2004 its in good condition, and I have full capability of getting it towed places. The what would be needed is an electrical hookup (30amp) and a water hose.

I'll be honest in that I cannot confirm that I could confidently pay anything more expensive then 550 dollars (I do not even currently make enough for that and when I move I'm unsure of how fast I will be able to get a job).

When to apply for on-campus jobs?

Hi all, I'm an undergraduate student at CPH and have been on medical leave since Fall 2024. I'm recovered now and will be returning to Humboldt this fall to finish up my degree, and I'd like to work on campus while I do so. I've checked Handshake and see a few jobs for this fall, but I'm wondering if there will be more listings closer to the start of the semester? If anyone knows the best time to search/apply for on-campus jobs, please let me know. Thanks!

Why so many labs?

Almost every science class there is weekly 3/6hr labs per science course. How do they expect us to graduate in time when these labs fill up most of our schedule and conflict with other courses? I get we’re polytechnic but shouldn’t there be an option for non-science majors that need to take the class as a requirement to not do labs?

Remove Flock from Humboldt

Humboldt County Residents: Do You Know You’re Being Tracked?

Help Us Remove Flock Safety Cameras from Our Roads.

If you’ve driven around Humboldt County recently, there’s a good chance your license plate has been scanned, logged, and stored — without your knowledge or consent.

Flock Safety cameras are automated license plate readers (ALPRs) that photograph every passing vehicle, record your plate, time, location, and direction of travel, and retain that data for up to 30 days (or longer). These cameras have been quietly installed across our county with little to no public debate, community input, or transparency about how that data is used, who can access it, or how long it’s really kept.

This is mass surveillance of law-abiding people. And Humboldt County deserves better.

Here’s what concerns us:

• No meaningful consent. Residents were never asked whether they wanted a surveillance network built around their daily movements.

• Data sharing risks. Flock Safety shares data with law enforcement agencies across the country. Your commute through Eureka could end up in a federal database.

• Chilling effects on our community. Humboldt has a long tradition of valuing personal freedom and privacy. Blanket vehicle tracking is fundamentally at odds with that.

• Lack of oversight. There’s been no public accountability structure established for how this data is managed locally.

What you can do:

  1. Sign the petition to call on the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors to remove Flock Safety cameras from county roads and halt any new installations pending full public review.

https://www.change.org/p/remove-flock-cameras-from-our-county-and-communities

  1. Show up. Board of Supervisors meetings are open to the public. Public comment matters — especially when it’s consistent and shows up in numbers.

  2. Share this post. The more Humboldt residents know about this, the harder it is to ignore.

Our roads shouldn’t be a data collection network. Let’s keep Humboldt the kind of place where you can drive to the farmers market without being tracked. (I’ve also been told by a local alarm/security company that the Arcata Plaza will be installing facial recognition cameras very soon.)

Here’s an interesting video about Flock.

I’d love to hear about any other movements/petitions/etc about anything relating to the removal of flock cameras from Humboldt.

Things to bring?

Since I'll be attending Humboldt in the fall, I'm wondering if there is anything I should bring specifically besides the basics? Anything at all helps! Thank you!
