Clean up UGLY shared link page

Can the team do some basic redesign of the shared link page? As of now it looks so ugly and I don’t even want to share that link with anyone. The typography is bad, broken “image” code, and no page design at all.

A shared link page should look elegant and beautiful so your users share it with thousands of others who will then generate interests of buying Ainote.

Thanks!

Has anyone seen iFLYTEK’s new phone-sized e-reader?

I came across the poster a couple of days ago and honestly
the design immediately caught my eye. I’ve never really used a tiny e-reader before, but the size and weight seem pretty ideal, easy to hold with one hand and read anywhere.

But then I saw the price on Taobao (~2399 RMB) and I kinda paused
that feels pretty steep for an e-ink reader, right?😭

For those of you who’ve used ultra-portable E Ink readers before, do you think products like this are actually worth the money?

Feedback & Feature Requests for iFlytek AI Note 2 from a Long-term E-Ink User

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased the iFlytek AI Note 2 after over two years of testing various e-ink ecosystems—including the reMarkable 2, RMPP, Boox 10.3, Viwoods AI Paper, and Supernote Manta. While I’ve primarily used the Viwoods and RMPP lately, the AI Note 2 has quickly taken the top spot.

Compared to the Viwoods, the AI Note 2 feels significantly more polished on the hardware and some other key areas. The calendar, task management, AI integration, and recording features are superior, and the writing feel is impressively similar to the reMarkable 2. Offline search option is well implemented as well.

To help improve the device further, I have a few suggestions for the development team:

1. "Erase All" Page Option

Currently, there is no quick way to clear a whole page. Adding a dedicated "Erase All" or "Clear Page" button would significantly improve workflow efficiency.

2. Full-Screen View for Page/Mark Windows

The current Page and Mark windows only occupy the right edge of the screen. This limits visibility to only a small portion of the text (about 20%) or a few page thumbnails at a time (only 3). I suggest making these windows full-screen so users can browse marks and navigate through many pages simultaneously. I would also rather be more confortable if these features are just a print-screen of my handwritten text only rather than a text interpretation which is prone to misstakes from the OCR tool. Here the innovation would be if users are not restricted to content in a row or text but we would also be able to mark attention to a drawing or sketch as well, that's why the printscreen is often superior to an OCR interpetation.

3. Lasso Tool Integration for Smart Pen Operations

The Smart Pen gestures (Mark Attention, Create Task, Create Title) can be difficult to trigger for those with compact handwriting. I suggest adding these three actions to the Lasso Tool menu as well rather than being triggered on the entire row. Currently, the lasso only offers cut, copy, add task, AI search, and clear; adding the Smart Pen functions here would provide much-needed precision.

4. Advanced Linking (Hyperlinks)

Following the excellent implementation seen in the Supernote, I would like the ability to lasso a selection and create a link to another area or notebook. Doesn't have to be a text only. It can be just a sketch as well. Having a dedicated window to manage these links would allow for much faster navigation within complex notebooks.

5. Floating Text Boxes

While the current text feature is functional (similary to Remarkable devices) the Viwoods implementation remains the gold standard for me. I suggest making text boxes floatable windows that can be moved and positioned anywhere on the page with ease, rather than being restricted to a fixed layout.

6. Smart Shape Recognition (Smart Objects)

I would highly recommend implementing automatic shape recognition, similar to the feature on reMarkable devices. When a user draws a rough shape—such as a triangle, circle, or straight line—and holds the pen down, the system should automatically snap it into a clean, geometric object or line. this feature is highly important for everyone and remarkable is currently a gold standard at implementing this.

7. Customizable Smart Gestures, Sensitivity Tuning & OneDrive/GoogleDrive integration.

The current smart gestures can be hit-or-miss and often fail to register. I suggest adding more granular customization options, such as allowing users to map a single-tap gesture to "Undo." Improving the sensitivity and reliability of these gestures would drastically improve the overall user experience. Finally, I feel I need an option to access my documents more easily from Google Drive & One Drive. I know it's a licensing thing with Microsoft & Google however I feel Iflytek is a massive Corporation in China that holds a lot of power in the market with several Billions in revenue easily dwarfing companies like Remarkable.

If anyone else reading this, please support my suggestions with a thumbs up.

Love the hardware, but the software is lacking.

I dont WANT this to be true, but it is. This device has replaced my Remarkable 2 and my iPad to become my most used device outside my cell phone. But i think i will sell it. Or maybe trade it for a Supernote Manta. I just miss POLISH. Everywhere you look in this device you can find broken English grammer, half implimented ideas and obvious optimizations that are just missed. The team here on Reddit seems responsive and helpful, but the dev team obviously is not. We have been waiting for a fix to a SIMPLE BUG for months... 24h to 12h time, in the place where it ould be used the most ... SCHEDULES. Not to meantion the schedule app is so bad at handling subscribed calenders you cannot rely on it anyway. And the part most dont want to say out loud... even when you do get a response it seems the language barrier is so steep that they respond to the wrong issue or anwer a slightly related question 80 % of the time. Its frustrating because this device is SO MAGICAL to use. The thinness, the promiseof AI drivin workflows etc... i just want them to make the changes we will use... and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAN I PLEASE DRAW A STRAIGHT LINE BY HOLDING THE PEN DOWN AT THE END OF THE STROKE!?!?!?

Feature Request: Open Long Notes at Last Edited Position.

I have a lengthy note on a single page, and every time I want to continue writing, I need to scroll all the way down. Scrolling is not very convenient in AiNote 2.

Would it be possible to add a feature where the note automatically opens at the bottom — or at the last edited position — so users can continue writing immediately?

I use this note as a continuous tracker for operational activities, and keeping everything in one place is very useful. This enhancement would significantly improve usability and efficiency for long-running notes.

How are we enhancing 64gb (40 with system files) storage?

Yes I know cloud sync is best, pro plan etc. I’m just a storage maximalist curious about how to get more data storage than the ~40gb without cloud/ paying extra for pro plans. The “everything is a subscription” approach is tiring & I’m over it.

Schedule Time: no am/pm option even on “no 24hr clock”

Maybe I’m missing something here but as I’ve been working with it, the schedule time setting gives 00:00 but no am/pm option, it seems to favor the 24hr clock. I know it’s a minor inconvenience but I do use the AIN2 scheduling features immensely

Size and weight of the AIN2 Type Folio Keyboard

What's the dimensions and weight? Does it have a tri fold option like Remarkable that lets you open it keyboard side and also to open it the other way on the non keyboard side? Very surprised your website doesn't list this in the product page.

Scrolling notes

I recently bought an Ainote 2 and it is my first e-ink tablet. Writing is smooth but I can't say the same about scrolling notes as it is sluggish. Are there any improvements planned ?

Hey everyone — I’m Christina😊

hi all, I’m u/ItsChristinaaaaa, one of the mods here in r/AINOTE.😎

just wanted to quickly drop in and say hey 👋

I’ll probably be around quite a bit — not just doing mod stuff in the background, but actually hanging out in the comments and posts like a normal user too.

🌟what I’m doing here

I’m kind of in a middle space between “official updates” and “community voice”.

🌟so you’ll see me:

- starting discussion posts / questions from time to time
- jumping into comment threads and talking things through
- collecting feedback (good, bad, messy — all of it) and bringing it back to the team
- occasionally sharing updates, but keeping it grounded in how people actually use AINOTE day to day at
- how I’m thinking about this space

honestly, I don’t want this to feel like a one-way announcement channel.

I’d rather this be a place where:

- people can be honest about what’s working / not working
- ideas evolve through actual discussion
- users + the team can kind of think together in public

so yeah — feel free to push back, disagree, or go deeper on anything I post. that’s kind of the point.

📕small note on me

I might not always have instant answers to everything, but I will make sure things don’t just disappear into a void.

if something’s important, confusing, or frustrating — I’ll take it back, ask questions, and try to keep the loop closed.

anyway, looking forward to being part of the community here.

see you around 🙂

[Data & Privacy Policy]Enterprise-Grade Security by Design

At AINOTE, we know that an AI note-taking device is not just a place to store words.

When you use AINOTE, you may be recording meetings, converting speech into text, turning handwriting into digital notes, generating AI-assisted summaries, or syncing content across devices. That content may include business discussions, study materials, interviews, project plans, action items, deadlines, or personal ideas.

That is why we design security into AINOTE from the start.

👓What we protect

AINOTE is built to support real productivity workflows. In those workflows, your notes, recordings, transcripts, summaries, and synced files may contain information that matters to you.

Our goal is to help you work more efficiently while reducing unnecessary exposure of your data.

💎How we protect data in transit

When data moves between your device and AINOTE services, we use encrypted transmission, including HTTPS / SSL.

This helps protect your information while it is being transferred. For example, when you sync notes, access a transcript, or use connected AI features, your data should not travel across the internet as plain, unprotected information.

🔔Why infrastructure matters

AINOTE is supported by trusted cloud infrastructure, including AWS.

This provides a reliable foundation for cloud sync, multi-device access, data storage, and connected productivity features. For users, this means the security experience is not only about the device itself, but also about the systems behind the service.

🛡Multi-layer protection

Security does not rely on one single barrier.

We use multiple layers of protection, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, access control, permission management, and risk monitoring.

These layers work together to help filter suspicious traffic, detect abnormal activity, limit unnecessary access, and reduce system-level risks.

đŸ·ïžA simple example

Imagine you record a business meeting and later generate a transcript or AI summary. That content may include names, decisions, deadlines, and follow-up tasks.

AINOTE’s security design is built to help protect that information during transmission, storage, access, and ongoing monitoring.

🧭Our approach

No system can remove every possible risk. But we believe security should be designed carefully, monitored continuously, and explained clearly.

For AINOTE, security is not an add-on.

It is part of the product foundation — because your notes, recordings, transcripts, and ideas deserve protection from the start.

E-ink Android device for Todoist?

Although the use case is not officially supported by Todoist, has anyone attempted to use it on an e-ink Android device such as the Boox Note Air or Onyx Boox Palma? Would like to get insights on your experiences.

AiNote2 and Ainote2 Air Syncing Issues

Weird they haven't figured this out yet. Other companies like Viwoods at least give you access to the note files so you can do a work around. Not Iflytek though.

Returning both devices and switching to Supernote. I'd recommend that anyone thinking about having both devices (large and small) do not go with Iflytek or Viwoods for this exact issue.
