For this post, we’re comparing the two PDF workflows on AINOTE: Note PDF and Reading PDF. They may look similar on the surface, but they are designed for different kinds of use.
Note PDF is the better fit when the PDF is part of an active note-taking workflow. It works well for templates, meetings, classes, and any setup where handwriting, recording, transcription, and other note-taking features matter.
Reading PDF is the better fit when the PDF is more like a reading or planner file. If you rely on hyperlink navigation, jump points, or structured documents such as planners and textbooks, this is the workflow to use.
We’ll continue using AINOTE In One Image for visual comparisons and workflow explainers. Hope this one helps, and we’d love to hear what topics you’d like us to cover next.
Got logged out few days ago. when I tried to log back in I get this msg “The network is abnormal. Please change the network and try again” i’ve already done this with multiple networks (work, home, coffee shops, etc) where it used to work before. I can’t access any of my notes! I use heavily the air2 for work. Please Help!!!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank the team at AINOTE for the last several updates. The team has been on fire lately. Being able to sync between the AINOTE 2 and AINOTE AIR 2 is a real game-changer. It has allowed me to use the Air 2 more now. The update for PDF linked files is another real game-changer. I can use my PDF planner again with confidence. Awesome job!!

This is the fourth time in 3 days, my Air 2 with the latest software kicks me out and asks for logging in again.
Why? Is there a fix for it?
My password is difficult and long. I cannot do this every half day.

I’m using an AINOTE Air 2 with NoteOS R_1.8.5 and noticed an issue with Google Calendar sync.
Recurring events created directly in Google Calendar only show the first occurrence on the Air 2. The following occurrences don’t appear at all.
Regular non-recurring events sync normally.
Is this a known issue with R_1.8.5? Any fix planned for an upcoming update?

- “Summarize my schedule and generate a simple weekly report.”
- “Check my AINOTE calendar and tasks for next week, highlight scheduling conflicts, and suggest timelines for unscheduled tasks.”
- “Review all notes in the 'Project A' folder, and summarize the key decisions, unresolved risks, and owners in chronological order.”
This makes it easier to:

With AINOTE Skill, you can generate a secure authorization link to connect your cloud-backed notes, calendar schedules, tasks, and focus star to your favorite AI Agents (like Claude Code and Codex) as a dynamic context stream.
Your AI Agent can now truly "understand" your knowledge base. Through simple natural language prompts, it can analyze across multiple notes, check for schedule conflicts, and even create new tasks or folders for you!

A: No. To protect your data and prevent AI Agents from accidentally deleting or altering existing information, the Agent currently operates in read-only mode for existing notes. It can read note bodies and create new notes or folders, but it cannot rewrite, edit, or overwrite existing content, handwriting, images, attachments, or layouts.
A: Yes, your data is safe. AINOTE never "bulk uploads" your database to any third party. The Skill acts strictly as an on-demand API endpoint. Access is strictly limited to what you explicitly authorize in the Desktop App and what is synced to the cloud.
A: Version 3.1.0.6 currently supports calendar events created directly within AINOTE devices or the AINOTE App. Support for third-party synced calendars (Google Calendar, Outlook.) will arrive in the next release.
A: No! This is a software feature update for the Desktop App and is not restricted by hardware models—both AINOTE 2 and AINOTE Air 2 users can use it.
A: When the AI Agent performs a write action, it triggers the AINOTE sync process. However, sync completion times depend on network conditions and status, so instant sync cannot be 100% guaranteed. Give it a brief moment or manual sync if needed.
A: Currently, Focus Star support Read-Only access (querying starred items and reading source notes). Creating or modifying star tags via AI Agent is not supported yet.

A: No. Currently, AINOTE Skill is only supported on the PC desktop client (Windows & Mac AINOTE Desktop App) for authorization and setup.

Is it possible to copy and paste previous recordings and notes into a new fusion note?

I’d like to clarify the offline transcription capability of the AINOTE Air 2.
In your recent official website announcement regarding the Air 2 update and Pro Plan, I noticed that offline transcription was mentioned as a supported feature.
Could you please confirm whether this means that an AINOTE Air 2 with the Pro Plan can actually perform voice-to-text transcription completely offline, without any Wi-Fi or internet connection?
For example, if I am in a company meeting where Wi-Fi is unavailable, can I record the meeting and have the speech transcribed into text directly on the Air 2 while remaining offline?
I’m asking because earlier information about the Air 2 suggested that offline transcription was not supported, while the recent announcement seems to indicate otherwise.
Could you clarify the current status after the latest update?

Besides all the great things we can do, I found a new thing to make life a tad bit easier.
At my work, we have to submit timesheets at the end of each week, and when you're working on multiple projects, it's difficult to remember. Notebooks are also always messy.
I made a new note for timesheets each week and entered data as simply as the weekday's date, followed by each line with this format: (task name start end). At the end of the week or anytime, ask AI Now Q&A to summarise your entries—simple as that! The entries are messy but work. I think I'm going to do this to save my Friday evenings. 😆
Separate AI summaries for multiple meetings within the same note.
I often have several meetings with different stakeholders about the same subject, so I prefer keeping everything in one note for easy reference.
The issue is with voice recording. If I record Meeting 1 and later start recording Meeting 2 in the same note, the app seems to continue/extend the existing recording and treats the conversations together.
What I would ideally like is:
One note for the overall subject/project
Multiple separate voice recordings within that note (Meeting 1, Meeting 2, Meeting 3, etc.)
A separate AI summary for each meeting/recording
The ability to keep all those individual summaries within the same note
Is there a way to do this? Or does each meeting need to be created as a separate note to get an independent AI summary?
I have been using the iFlytek AINOTE Air 2 for the past three days. The AIAide summary feature is generally a great idea and very important to me.
I switched from the AI Flowscribe Pen which allows you to define a standard prompt to personalize the AI summary of the recorded notes.
However, there is one thing that bothers me in the AI Aide: if you want to paste a prepared or lengthy prompt into the text field, it is not possible using the standard “long press” gesture.
The fact that pasting from the clipboard is fundamentally supported is proven by the fact that it works when a Bluetooth keyboard is connected with the ordinary keyboard shortcut.
Since I normally do not use a Bluetooth keyboard, I believe the standard long press → Paste functionality should be implemented so that users can paste text directly from the clipboard without requiring an external keyboard.
