Hello Guys, I need to make a tough life decision, my company boss's is pushing me for a move to Dubai because I know arabic. Job in UAE will be onsite whilst in germany its fully remote. Anyone was in such a scenario before and could reflect back on his decision or give some insights?

I’m fresh graduate and i really need experience i was doing marketing and event for my mom back home but now i’m here i want to be in real estate and i will accept anything (legal) as long as i can learn. Lately I’ve been wondering what people across different industries in the UAE are actually earning, because honestly the salary ranges here can be all over the place. Sometimes two people with similar experience are getting completely different packages.

Thought it would be interesting and maybe helpful for others too if people shared their role, experience, and salary range openly. Could help a lot when negotiating offers or understanding the market better.

My wife recently joined a tech company in Dubai, so we relocated. Back home, I never had to apply for jobs – offers came to me consistently.
Now, 2 months in, I’m navigating the Dubai job market for the first time and realizing how different it is. Applications go into a void.
Background:
• 5 years at Deloitte, reached Audit Manager in 3.5 years via two consecutive double promotions
• Led audits for some of the world’s largest companies across aviation, healthcare, automotive, energy, construction, and steel manufacturing ( 16+ different companies managed annually)
• IFRS, FP&A, budgeting, MIS reporting, variance analysis, IPO readiness, Dcf
• Client relationship management, proposal preparation, and engagement ownership at CFO/board level
• Led teams of 50+ team members across multiple concurrent engagements annually
• ACCA (9/13) will be focused after cpa, CPA 7/8, final exam’s score is pending. (To clear things up: in my country, you must pass a pre-entry exam, then complete 3 years of mandatory work experience and training (previous experience doesn't count), and then pass 8 written exams to get your CPA. It's a longer and harder than USCPA, which explains how someone can become an Audit Manager along the way.)

Hii.., i'm 20M, second year computer science university student in dubai. i've been wanting to start earning on the side and now i got almost 4 months fully free.

i'm not looking for anything crazy, just something part-time to keep me busy and make some money. i'm a quick learner, so i can pick things up fast... and got golden visa too.

open to pretty much anything ..remote work, assistant-type roles, small gigs, whatever works...

if anyone has suggestions or opportunities, i'd really appreciate it ..

Long story short, my company already terminated almost everyone. We are a real estate brokerage in Dubai, and now only me and one other girl were left. We both already completed our probation period, so I thought they cannot terminate us without proper notice and payments.

A few weeks ago I called labour and explained the situation. The lady told me that if the company terminates me, I may have rights to get 3 months salary advance, payment for unused vacation days, and ticket money if I go back to my country. So I felt a bit confident after hearing that.

But today they terminated the other girl too. She only got 1 month notice. When I asked her about the 3 months salary advance thing, she said she doesn’t know if the company will actually give it.

Now I’m stressed because this morning I already bought tickets to visit my country for a small vacation. I haven’t gone back in almost 2 years. I’m worried that after I return, they will suddenly terminate me too and not pay properly.

Right now they already reduced us to half day work and half salary. Because of that, I started finding freelance work outside and luckily I already got a few clients. Even if things go bad next month, I think I can somehow survive here.

I just want to know honestly, does UAE labour law actually protect employees in situations like this? If they terminate me, will I really get the 3 months salary advance and other payments, or only 1 month notice salary?

I just need some peace of mind so I can enjoy this vacation without stress
