OPDSy — OPDS Comic & Ebook Reader -Paid

Developer: Yes, I'm the developer.

Category: Books & Reference / Comics reader

Price: One-time £3.49. No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no tracking.

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opdsy

What it is: OPDSy is a comic & ebook reader for Android that connects to your own self-hosted OPDS servers — Ubooquity, Komga, Kavita and Calibre-Web and merges them into a single library with per-source colour badges. I built it because Kuboo (the client I used to rely on) died and nothing reliable replaced it.

Features:

  • Add multiple OPDS servers, browse them as one library; each source loads independently so one broken server never takes the whole library down
  • Comics stream page-by-page (OPDS-PSE) with smart prefetch — paged/continuous/webtoon, LTR/RTL, dual-page spreads, fit-width/screen, pinch-zoom
  • Ebook reader with adjustable fonts/themes (incl. sepia) and text-to-speech
  • Offline downloads and continue-reading that follows you across sources
  • Optional cross-device sync of library/favourites/reading progress to your own Google Drive, end-to-end encrypted — I never see your data
  • File support: comics CBZ, CBR (also CB7, CBT); ebooks EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, FB2; plus PDF

Privacy: No account, no ads, no analytics or tracking at all. Server credentials stay in Android's secure storage.

Coming soon: a local reader mode, open books and comics stored directly on the device, not just from a server so it works standalone too.

I use this personally on a daily basis so im always iterating on it and adding features.
