I am booked with Axis Gynecology for a virtual pre-appointment before they will book me in for my actual biopsy. They refused to book my in-person appointment until I do the virtual causing this process to take multiple months.

Now, my virtual appointment is tomorrow and they have not sent me the virtual link.

Basically, this office is a complete mess, no one answers the phones EVER. I do not recommend you get any Gyno care here. Their online reviews are absolutely terrible.

Anticipating that they will not send me the link in time for my appointment tomorrow, and tell me we have to reschedule, I'm looking for advice on gyno clinics, in Toronto only, that people have had good experiences with that can do an endometrial biopsy and IUD insertion at the same appointment. A clinic that is not a disorganized disaster of with months of waiting for only a virtual appointment before the in-person appointment. I understand I will have to wait perhaps another month or 2, but if that means I can have an in-person booked and get this over with I'm ok with that.

Does anyone have any advice?

I don't own a car and stay in midtown. Looking for some places in or nearby I can just hang out in during weekend. All my colleagues are married or have cars. Everyone is going out to blue mountain or Montreal or Peterborough. I feel like I am getting sad and left out. Any suggestions? Even if it's a fun yoga class or something just out of the blue should be good. I just don't wanna stay in my dark basement all week

I have a guy - friends who may join but he is a nerd and it's hard to convince him to go anywhere and he is giving interviews so I really don't have anyone else to hang out with.

Any places which will break the work week monotonous feeling should be ok

Also am I the only one going through these feelings? How do other singles cope?

Hey everyone! I am 24f student living alone dt. Today in broad daylight was the first time I ever felt unsafe in Toronto. Lived here all my life I love the city and the people in it.

I’m walking to work, walking west toward yonge and Gerrard. I’m slowly passing this young woman orange curly hair giant red bubble jacket, straight face. As we begin to pass she lifts up her bent elbow, positions her fist toward my face as if she’s about to hit me.

I jump back maybe a little slower then I would like and all I said was wtf.

1. Is it legal to hit her or push her back
2. I need self defense classes. Can anyone share options. Affordable options, but somewhere I can actually learn

I would really appreciate it, I don’t want to feel helpless. I want to learn my body and use it to protect myself.

Hi. Hope all of your are fine. I'm 33 yrs old female and I have never been to a bar. I've been told by my male friends that it's not safe for a female to go to a bar/club alone? Is that true? I badly need a haircut 😭 My hair is currently shoulder length and I just want a simple 2-inch trim to make it into a blunt bob.

I’ve been checking salons around Toronto and most quotes are around $70–100 depending on the stylist level. I totally understand why, but I honestly don’t want to splurge that much for a pretty straightforward cut.

Does anyone have recommendations for affordable but decent salons/stylists in Toronto? I’m also open to experienced home-based hairstylists or Facebook Marketplace finds as long as they do clean work.

I'm thick in the middle of Infertility struggles and possibly exploring IVF. Its an expensive and exhausting procedure with no guarantee of a positive outcome, a.k.a, healthy baby.

EDIT: I thought this went without saying, but I'm obviously only referring to agencies operating within Canadian surrogacy laws.

This might be a bit outside the typical content, but I'm looking for local options. Our family is hoping to grow through surrogacy. I'm curious if anyone has worked with a local Toronto/GTA agency? What was your experience?

(Before people come at me for exploring surrogacy, our local children's aid society is presently closed to new adoption applicants. We're heartbroken but looking for new options.)
