Creature from the Black Lagoon vignette
It's nothing particularly special, but this is probably one of my favorite vignettes I've built. A Lego reminder that you don't know what lurks in the deep.

It is once again time for crab

The first picture is my table of some builds I made, the other pictures are a few excerpts of other members of NCLUG. There were many more but I’m limited on photo uploads.
It was cool being at an event and getting a chance to talk to people in person about my builds, and of course to meet up with other LUG members.
Hello everyone I recently got one of my white whale Lego sets the ReefScape Lionfish, and I’d like to incorporate him into my Fish tank set but can’t figure out how to get him inside of it. I’m thinking of taking some of the coral down to get him in there but I’m not sure yet. Here’s some pics so you guys can see the size of them.
Put this together recently, brought it to my dad’s house over the weekend to test it. It handles pretty well, for a fairly rudimentary retrofit, though I worry it’s too heavy for the motor (gets a little warm after just a short test run), so I may try a more involved design than just slapping a modified lower hull section from an existing boat onto the bottom of the Lego hull. Ideally, I think I should aim for a shallower hull and maybe a larger motor, which would be my first time building a custom set up. I’m a novice, so I’m open to suggestions for jet drives, motors, and receivers, if anyone could give me any pointers!
Finally, I finally got this figure for myself, but the obscure printing on that piece stands out.
The surface of the frigid planet Krysto is 85% sea ice, and so the hardy human colonists of the Ice Planet must make use of mechanized underwater mining to acquire the minerals they need to expand. Standard "King Crab"-model mechs are equipped with a claw arm, 4-bladed laser drill, storage units in the rear, jump jets, and interior and exterior stowage space for O2 tanks, swim fins, and tools. The planet was at first thought to be devoid of native sophonts, however, in this scene a brave miner discovers the ruins of a prior civilization buried beneath the rough seas and icebergs.
Since I'm recently returned to LEGO, this is basically my first attempt at using some of the newer joint and hinge type pieces. As you can see I'm very bad at it. If you have any tips for the best hinges to use on posable mechs/large animals I would love to hear them!
I picked up the Glutinous torso in a bin at Brickworld Indy and decided to expand upon it. Working on a backstory for the build as well. Might make a backdrop, I'm not sure.
