fresher group chats

I got in UoL for Architecture through clearing and have had very little contact with the uni in comparison with my firm choice uni so I haven't had any opportunity to talk to people on my course or going to the uni at all.

On tiktok I see people in the comments talking about freshers group chats but I have no idea if they are legit or how to get added.

If anyone has any idea how I can do this please let me know

successful accommodation transfers

they’re sending out accommodation confirmation and the uni gave me one i did not apply for so seeming everything has been taken atp, they put me in melville. is the likely hood of me managing to transfer to like vine court a possibility or does it seem very unlikely or can they request to put me in a different one? preferably before move in date?

University of Liverpool has just launched its new Continuing Education courses for 2026–27

The University of Liverpool has just launched its new programme of Continuing Education short courses for 2026-27. They’re open to the public, so you don’t need to be studying for a degree or have recent qualifications – they’re for anyone who fancies learning something new.

There’s a really broad range this year, including courses on the Liverpool music scene and the Beatles, creative writing, literature, art and art history, ancient and modern history, philosophy, psychology, law and social justice, and a ten-week visual history of Everton and Liverpool FC.

Some are one-off or short courses, while others run over a number of weeks, with daytime, evening, online and campus-based options.

The basic idea is that you can come into the University and study something because you’re interested in it – no degree attached, just the chance to learn about something properly with other people who are interested too.

You can have a look through the new programme here: https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/continuing-education/choose-your-course/

I work with the programme, so happy to answer any questions about how the courses work if that’s useful.
