I like the last part, what do you think?
If the master seems too low it's cause i recorded the screen but i put the already mastered track in editing (i learnt some mastering but i still have some troubles with it)

There hasn't been a new stable release in years and it's stuck on VST version 2. I started out on LMMS (if we don't count ProTracker and my Amiga days) but now I've switched almost exclusively to Cakewalk Sonar (free plan). Cakewalk isn't open source and doesn't have the nice chiptune plugins LMMS comes with though. And one day if the makers of Cakewalk decide to cripple or remove the free version then I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and try switching to / learning Reaper. But in the meantime I value the piano roll in Cakewalk, which seems more fully featured than the LMMS one, as well as it being nice having more features in general.
It defaults to dBFS instead and I can't find any setting anywhere that goes back to the percentage display that was used as default in 1.2.0. Can you change this in the nightly version or not?

Hi, if I want to make music for videos, is it possible to work in LMMS while playing the video side by side? How do you usually do it when you need to make music for a video?
This is by far the best project I've ever made in LMMS. In this project, I used granular synthesis and even recorded my own sounds and my voice (I'm not a professional singer lol), pushing LMMS to its limits. I won't be sharing much of the process because I don't want anyone to take my work (which I spent days creating) and use it to train an AI.
This work will be available on streaming platforms very soon. What do you think?
(Sorry for the audio quality.)
spent more time on it. what genre even is this, i need reference
I'm using the beta one it was cool at first but now is kinda laggy
It's still a work in progress, but I like the direction it's going. Need to clean it up, tie up loose ends, and master it. No idea what I'm gonna call it yet.
Edit: Volume is low bc I used OBS to record and its levels were set for streaming. Oops.
i added an ambient pad and another harp style. which should i choose? frist one or second one? if u have anymore recommendations lmk in the comments thanku!!!!
My first complete song after 5 days of making music, would appreciate any tips for improvements.
I tried installing the nightly version wich apparently manages wine automatically but fails to open the VST windows anyways.
Installing all the stuff on a stable version seems to be a lot more complicated than i thought.
Song name is "icarus dive"
its a remix to my old song

Hey guys does anyone have any experience with using LMMS to create distorted guitar, heavy drum patterns, and just overall very dark moody music?
I’m attempting to use LMMS for a concept album I’ve been working on, and any advice that can put me in the right direction would be absolutely incredible!
Songs for reference
Blood Loss - 156/Silence
Under Your Skin - Silent Planet
Diazepam - Ten56.
Dying to Love - Bad Omens
These songs have a similar feel to what I want to achieve
im thinking of switching to linux but i dont think i can get all my windows projects over to there. are they the same? if not, is there a way to convert them to linux files?
I will probably call this song "sh0t!"
Does anybody know why LMMS official site isn't working? I want to switch DAW from reaper but the site isn't working to download. When will it be back again?
Can you do stem separation in LMMS?
edit: I mean use AI to take a song and split it into stems. Anybody know of a plugin?
