Unhygienic conditions after Sitala Puja.
This is Sitalabari Math, the location of the famous Sitala Puja of Lumding. People from all over Assam, and perhaps India as well, come to this place to enjoy the spring fest. While I have no complaints about the Puja itself — it is very good and I enjoy it the most — the problem is cleanliness. As you can see by comparing the pictures from before and after the Puja, the garbage has significantly increased.None of the puja committees or the responsible authorities are taking the responsibility to clean this area. Every year, the residents of Nadirpar and Sitalabari Road have to face these unhygienic conditions. Today, we are going to the municipality to complain about this matter because, until someone files a complaint, no action will be taken automatically.
