BCSO Coorporation

Has anyone had experience getting the Bibb county sheriff office to cooperate on a safety concern that I raised to them several times? I had a back and forth with a lieutenant about getting a cop a few times to enforce traffic violations in a very walkable area several times and even copied David Davis, called and reported it, and … NOTHING. No repose, no acknowledgment.

I’ve been following up every so often since November and it’s frustrating that I can’t even get something. Doesnt incentivize me to buy a house in Bibb county.

Is there anyone learning German or any outings/social events for German learners?

I'm a Uni student and currently self studying German B1 since I don't have enough credits to take German for my major. My problem with German has always been speaking because I don't have time or space to practice German or even basic conversation skills. I was wondering if Macon offers anything like social events for German learners?

A Tribute to the Kimchi Factory in Macon

Since moving to Macon over a decade ago, I have noticed that many restaurants people rave about end up closing before I even get a chance to see what the fuss is all about. Kimchi Factory was fortunately not one of those restaurants.

I remember the layout of the dining area being a bit odd, with booths shoved into small rooms, but the food was very delicious. I planned on becoming a regular after that first meal, but soon afterward, I learned they were closing.

An article by John T. Edge in Garden & Gun, written shortly after the restaurant opened, informed me that the restaurant struggled from the very beginning, which was true for many businesses after the COVID-19 pandemic.

I hope the Kims are doing well now and that one day they can open a restaurant that stays open much longer than Kimchi Factory did.

Where do you get local updates?

I’m looking for where you get your local updates. Not necessarily “local news” since the tv stations have that pretty well covered, but other local info like what’s happening this weekend, or where there’s a going out of business sale, or where there’s a new service available?

Len Berg's Restaurant was open for almost a 100 years but I never got a chance to eat there

Len Berg's Restaurant opened in 1908 and closed in 2005 - since then, a few other restaurants have operated from the same small building, including Kimchi Factory recently. It looks like a restaurant called Saucy's Kitchen will soon open there.

I never got a chance to eat at Len Berg's, but I have read that the food was really good. Did anyone eat there, and what do you remember about the experience?

Jacob Anders Endorses Keisha Lance Bottoms for Governor of Georgia

I am proud to endorse Keisha Lance Bottoms for Governor of Georgia.

Keisha is a proven leader with real executive experience and the heart to fight for working families across our state. As a former Mayor of Atlanta, she showed steady, compassionate leadership through tough challenges and always put people first. I believe she is exactly the kind of battle-tested leader Georgia needs in the Governor’s office right now.

From expanding economic opportunity and improving schools to protecting voting rights and making healthcare more accessible, Keisha has the vision and the record to deliver real progress for every corner of Georgia, from Atlanta to rural communities and everywhere in between. She understands that strong leadership means bringing people together and getting results.

What stands out most is her deep commitment to building a Georgia that works for all its residents, no matter their background or zip code. In these uncertain times, we need a Governor with courage, integrity, and a proven ability to lead through crisis. Keisha Lance Bottoms has consistently demonstrated all three.

Georgians, I urge you to support Keisha Lance Bottoms for Governor. Let’s bring bold, steady and inclusive leadership to your great state!

We gotta be focusing more on this dudes!

The Georgia Supreme Court election is coming up on May 19,

With not just the Feds, but also the southern states actively aiding the Trump regime in destroying the American republic,

It’s crucial that we win as many statewide elections as well, especially in the South, to help quench the republic of the last breathe of it’s past sins,

The liberal candidates are Miracle Rankin and Jen Jordan, so without any further a due,

for any of yall registered to vote in Georgia,

Vote dudes VOTE!

Digital Camera Repair Shops?

Does anyone know of a place where they fix cameras? I think the internal hardware of my camera has rusted and that’s causing it to not turn on. I’m not entirely sure. I have a Fuji film FinePix S2980. Thank you

MVP Pizza

I hear Mercer village pizza is closing. Since I’ve been here it’s been 3 (Sauced, Jags, and now MVP). Why do pizza places seem to struggle in that spot?

Society Garden - Question

Hey all - I've never been to the Society Garden but I have a friend coming from out of town who wants to try it out. The only problem is the weekend they want to go, there are no scheduled events.

What's it like going of they don't have any event? Is it worth it?

P&Z OKs new Gray Hwy. eatery, overrules Design Review Board to enforce 27-

My wife and I took a ballroom dance class with Ms. Paula, so I am admittedly biased.

Does anyone else think this decision by Macon's Planning and Zoning was excessive, considering all the facts?

Anyone know where to see punk/hardcore bands playing??

I know there’s the reverb room, but do any bands play at the skatepark or anything? Where should I go to find news about shows? Also, if anyone could link the social medias of local punk bands it would be so helpful!
