What are some good places to eat in Macon?

My wife and I moved here from Delaware back in December. We were living in Centerville with family then got our own place in Macon. We live off of Houston Road. We’re trying to find places to eat. One of my coworkers suggested Nu-Ways for burgers, Finchers and Buckee’s for BBQ. Anyone else know of any places that are reasonably priced?

Ponds behind landfill

Are they accessible to the public? I was looking on Google Maps to find spots to fish and noticed all the ponds back there and it shows roads all throughout but when I rode down there they had cones blocking the entrance so I was curious whether it’s ever accessible or not

Hi everyone! I recently moved here and training for a triathalon. I was wondering if there’s anywhere people know of that do memberships month by month or even a small fee per use. I haven’t seen anything online, so this is my last resort. Thank yall in advance.

Block Flock in Macon this Tuesday! Pack City Hall!🌹

Flock Safety Cameras are an ineffective, invasive, and expensive technology that make all of us less safe. Despite this, Macon-Bibb County plans to spend hundreds of thousands of our tax dollars to put even more up around the city. It's time to tell the County Commission to Block Flock, and end the city's contract with Flock Safety.

RSVP to pack Macon City Hall at the upcoming County Commissioners meeting to make our voices heard at: mgdsa.org/blockflock !

Card Shop/Trade/Sell

Hey just curious if anyone knows a place or group that deals in Pokemon cards. I’ve got a fair bit of sealed product and looking to offload as I’m new to the area but also looking to potentially get some slabs.

If anyone knows anything I’d greatly appreciate it

Anyone play Magic or Riftbound?

I would love to learn and get into a card game, but it’s so nerve wracking trying to go to a game store full of people who already know each other.

Please help me find the punk and emo bands of Middle Georgia!!

Please recommend some of Middle Georgia's punk and emo bands! I am looking for anything like pop punk, skate punk, hardcore, melodic hardcore, Midwest emo, anything adjacent to 2nd or 4th wave emo, etc. I am NOT looking for anything heavier or more metal-adjacent, like metalcore or beatdown. Also, are there any places I should be aware of that host shows? I know of the Reverb Room, but they seem to have more metal-y stuff going on.

Local Memorial Provider Recommendation

You all have provided me incredible recommendations for dentists. Now, I need a recommendation for a local grave memorial provider. A grave slab/ledger to be precise.

My mom passed in October and in November, I placed an order with a local company that's been in business for 100+ years but they can't seem to follow through with the order. Her birthday is approaching and will be the last straw for me if they don't have it delivered. I'm thinking I'm going to request a refund and order elsewhere. So I would dearly love your recommendations.

Wings off 75

I'm looking for some dinner recommendations for this weekend with some guys coming to town. Every time I drive down 75, I see that infamous sign for "best wings in town" at the strip club. Anyone know if the wings are actually any good or is it just trying to get people in the door?

I've had some real good buffets at strip joints and some real bad food. Was curious which this was.

Local groups? (Image for attention) :)

Hello everyone!! I am in my early 20's and moved here from DC a year and a half ago and still have not found any local groups I enjoy. On top of that the culture shock is not helping lol. Any local groups near Barnesville Ga people could recommend? I am willing to drive up to a hour for the right group that aligns with my interests that I have listed bellow.

Equine (eventing and fox hunting), Art, Books, Travel, Lots of nerdy topics(Anime, Manga, D&D, Gaming, Musicals...etc), Slow Fashion, History (Mainly the Revolutionary war), Dog showing, and I am always open to trying new things!

Thank you soo much!! I have already tried or reached out to a bunch of different groups or volunteer opportunities in the area but I either don't fit in with the group or never get a response! Please be nice I have tried for the last year and a half to find something and this is my last alternative........

did anyone in downtown lose a black cat?

has anyone in the downtown area lost a black cat? we found it this morning trying to get inside the old macon health club building, and it was meowing and panting really hard. we brought it home to get it away from the heat.

it looks pretty young (around a year old) but is very friendly and approachable.
