I recently read where the MBTA has finally decided to double track the route from Reading to Wilmington Jct. It said it will also be adjusting some stations to have high platforms.

I do hope that they are going to finish the double tracking from Wilmington Jct. to Lawrence. Most of the track is already in place but there are a few small gaps that need to be dealt with. It would seem that the MBTA should include CSX in this as it is to their advantage as well to have this done from the Lowell Jct. northward.

Seems the number of bikes on the commuter rail just keeps going up. I hope someone is planning on getting more bike cars in service to meet demand. These vestibules are getting crowded

Why is the commuter rail running six car trains north through Weymouth at 8:37am on a Saturday? Are there that many commuters? Used to be four car trains on the weekends.
