Improving my texture pack
I have this texture pack a while back can you suggest me any improvements, it's not the best just a few items only, not those huge texture packs but if you got any suggestions let me know!
Its on modrinth called "Cool Mint"

these are protection types and thier levels ( model and item )
a lot of textures may be changed or tweaked in tbe future
the 2 in the bottom right corner are redesigns for the base texture ( leather and chainmail )
I've finished most of the first phase of the pack ( only turtle helmet and alt textures are left )
I've resigned the chainmail armor so I can work with it. inspired by another texture pack ( credits are in the modrinth page )
I have a job interview tomorrow so it will take a bit before I start the next phase with chestplates . I also need to fix some bugs and i need to find a way to make it work for fabric users since the only way I got it to work is with optifine especially that cit resawn was disconnected.
when I finish the all the armor pieces from all the sets I'll start working on other enchantments especially that I need to figure out how to make layerd textures
Hey guys! I've been working, on a couple of resource packs recently and wanted help on something, is there a way to make a texture full size instead of it shrinking? Or would i need to make a whole model for it?
Is there a way to change this biome tinted leaves to default? this only happens when i install Polytone mod along with Stay True resourcepack
as a cat person I think cats in Minecraft aren't cute enough
the rabbit model was fine before the redesign, it just needed a bigger mouth/nose piece like some texture pack
yes i've checked latest.log but it still won't work, why?

oh and im using a cracked version of minecraft
You may remember the massive drama surrounding the Faithful resource pack a few years ago, when community united against XMrVizzy/Vizzy, who essentially hijacked the artists' work, monetized it on the Bedrock Marketplace. Back then, they managed to set things right, and the resource pack was removed from the marketplace. Many people have forgotten about this, but now they release texture packs through their own website where they claim they are open source project. They also post source on GitHub.
Everything seems fine at first glance. But if you look closely at their GitHub repository and their self-made "FAITHFUL LICENCE Version 3 (2023)" (which is already pretty absurd for a resource pack), you will find a classic example of openwashing (pretending to be open-source) and corporate roleplay.
>"We reserve the right to: Refuse the ability to use, distribute, or modify any work made by us for any person or group."
And
>"Do not monetize content that contains any of our work, modified or not, under any circumstances."
This directly violates the core definition of open-source (OSI Points 5/6 - No Discrimination Against Persons or Groups/No Discrimination Against Fields of Endeavor). True open source means even if you hate someone, you cannot legally ban them from using your public code/assets or prohibit them from commercializing the product. Faithful built their current version using crowdsourced, free labor from community artists, and lock them behind licence what lets them do anything with their work.
They threaten legal action ("Take legal action if you do not comply"), which is a bluff. Faithful is a derivative work of Minecraft. They upscaled Mojang’s vanilla textures by 2x/4x. According to the Usage Guidelines, their work belongs to Mojang and Microsoft. And even if they decided to sue, who among them would do it? A group of admins and moderators? A consensus? After all, according to their own statement, the project is community-driven and has no single owner.
"Use Common Sense". My personal favorite line from their license:
>"Just be honest about what you're using, use common sense when in doubt, and you'll be fine."
"just use common sense, bro". I don't even know if there's anything to add here. The term "common sense" makes absolutely no legal sense. It’s not a license; it’s just chumminess.
They’re making a fan-made Minecraft resource pack, yet they have Apple-sized ambitions.
Another funny thing is how much resentment towards Vizzy is lingering:
>"Do not monetize content... This includes locking your content behind a paywall (including the Minecraft Marketplace)..."
So, if you were thinking of becoming a contributor to this project, be aware that — at least according to their license (which holds no legal weight and isn't really a license, but rather a set of tips on how not to trigger them) — they saying you they can appropriate your work and forbid you from using it. It would certainly be quite entertaining to see them try to litigate that, though.
That's it. That’s just my take from side. It is up to you to decide how faithful it is.
TL;DR - Faithful is an openwashing project trying to play a serious company, yet its authoritarian, hastily cobbled-together license fails to meet open-source definitions and holds no legal weight.
Continuing to develop my texture pack, what do you think of beautiful textures?
ok so I'm trying to turn the heavy core into the quaffle from harry potter, have a really nice texture that I spent like 30 minutes on (its simple ok sue me) and I'm loading it into Minecraft and its not loading properly, its loading yes but (it'll be shown in the images what I mean) help! I'm making this in blockbench, I have what the blockbench textures are in blockbench, the texture map, and then what it gives me in Minecraft. idk what I'm doing wrong :( (I think the images should be going through) I only have one of the sides on the blockbench cause its just the same thing on all the sides except the front/north and top+bottom java edition pack
There is this guy named crainer that goes live here and there he uses certain resource packs I can’t figure out I want my blocks to look like his I have a bad photo but he goes live a lot please help
can you?
i know what these are:
none
thirdperson_lefthand
thirdperson_righthand
firstperson_lefthand
firstperson_righthand
head
gui
on_shelf
but what does these do?:
ground
fixed
I don't know which texture looks better for the border block.
If you have other ideas, please let me know.
the second image is a concept for protection 4, thorns 3, aqua infinity . the thierd is curse of binding
the thierd is curse of binding
I am still a noob at pixel art so any tips are welcom especially with shading
I have a lot of ideas for the designs of enchantments but I would appreciate your ideas
so far I've finished the protections textures for netheright, diamond, gold, iron, copper . I have different ideas for chainmail, leather, and turtle helmet
also you can't add layerd textures to armor in optifine, so I'll need to find a work around this or I need to make 1,375,232 unique textures for each combintion of enchantments
Just finished my first resource pack everyone! what it Does is give minecraft a new feel, by swapping Amythest and diamond textures so making amythest geodes looking like diamon geodes and makes diamond armour and tools look amythest!
Tired of underwhelming shiny Pokémon?
This resource pack replaces the shiny variants of 60 Pokémon with brand-new, hand-crafted shiny designs made to look cleaner, more vibrant, and more intentional than their originals.

the brewing stand model is actually multiple models that makes the brewing stand.
these are the brewing stand without the side tubes?, the 3 side tube models, and the 3 side tube models with bottles.
it is to show how many bottles there are without looking into it. the side tubes are at a 45 and -45 and 0 degree angle. i want to chage the 45 and -45 angles to 120 and -120 degree angles.
so i copied the original models from my game version, copied them in my resource pack, and just changed the angle without touching anything else, which should have worked, but minecraft showed me a missing block, and inside there was every model of the brewing stand that i didnt change.
how can i change the angle without minecraft going crazy?
This is a resource pack that works as a shader. I've been working on its 2.0 update for over six months. This update will include pixelated shadows, similar to Vibrant Visuals, color adjustments, and a vanilla style without the color issues that Vibrant Visuals has.
In terms of performance, it's vastly superior to Vibrant Visuals, dropping only around 10-15 FPS depending on your computer. It's currently the best quality-performance shader available for Minecraft.
ReShaded already has several released versions, but they aren't 2.0. However, they are excellent, highly optimized shaders. Any PC that can run Minecraft can run it with ReShaded without FPS drops or the need for mods, as it's a resource pack containing Core Shaders code.
I'm making a texture pack where I update a lot of outdated und ugly textures. I've already improved a lot. Do you know any textures that you think need an update?
