🌟 My first VA role with Teem! 🌟

After countless applications to different agencies, most of which turned me down because I lacked VA experience (which I completely understand), I almost lost hope. I tried applying to a BPO healthcare account just to gain exposure to US-based processes and tools.

But perseverance really pays off. Here’s a quick timeline of my application journey with Teem:

Jul 15 – Submitted application for Insurance Verification Specialist and completed a same-day AI interview

Aug 11 – Received TA interview schedule, but for a Back Office Rep role instead

Aug 18 – Client interview (we were 4 applicants in the meeting)

Aug 19 – Received the welcome email and offer letter from Teem 🎉

This is my first ever VA role. While I don’t have bedside or BPO healthcare account experience, I do bring over 10 years of customer service, administrative, and coordination work since I worked in a health insurance company.

Teem saw that potential, trusted me, and gave me the opportunity to prove myself to the client.

✨ To anyone reading this: please don’t lose hope even if you’ve faced endless rejections or ghosting. Keep submitting applications, keep learning, and upskill if needed. You’ll never know—your turn might be just around the corner.

Grateful, excited, and ready to start this new chapter. 💙

Can I realistically juggle two jobs?

I am a live scribe who works around 7 hours a day. Medyo chill lang naman yung workload kasi minsan wala ring masyadong patients.

Before I found my current client, I applied as a Pharmacist (JO) at a government hospital in our small town. The salary is ₱24,860. A few months later, they messaged me saying that my application was accepted. That was 6 months ago.

Now, I have been working with my current client for 5 months. My schedule is 9 PM to 6 AM, with 7 AM being the latest EOD.

Do you think kaya pagsabayin yung two jobs? Gusto ko lang sana i-try since baka chill lang din yung workload sa hospital, especially since maliit lang naman yung hospital namin. Minsan nga wala ring doctor, so I am thinking baka may chance na makapagpahinga or even sleep during downtime. 😂

I know it sounds crazy, but I am curious if anyone here has tried juggling a night-shift WFH job with a government hospital/JO position. Kaya ba or magiging burnout lang ako? 😅

PS: Meron kasi akong kakilala na nag wowork sa government tapos VA din.

PPS: May utang din kasi ako binbayaran from a failed negosyo.

Hello, is it ok to tell HR that I want to stop working with the client because I believe our work system is not aligned? Me and my client have miscommunication all the time, and it’s really hard to adjust because yung client medyo magulo din.

Will this be red flag to HR? Even if hindi talaga match :(

HR Rate

I hope you can help me find a job for her. in terms of skills and tenacity i know she will not disappoint.

HR CLIENT INTERVIEW (3 STAGES)

Hi! I’m from HR and just received my first client interview. Akala ko isa lang, jusko HAHAHAHA. 😭 I passed the initial interview!

Does anyone here go through 3 stages in the interview process? The first is the initial interview, the second is a skills evaluation assessment, and the last is a final interview with the COO.

May I ask what usually happens during the skills evaluation assessment? Thank you! 🥹

Healthcare virtual assistant Philippines, how long was the training curve

Small specialty clinic. Considering remote help for scheduling, verification and patient callbacks.

The budget works. What I don't have a feel for is how long before someone is comfortable with US insurance terminology, our EHR, and the specific weirdness of how our patients talk about their coverage.

Also, timezone. Our phones are busiest 8 to 10am. How are people covering that.

Need Advice

Hi everyone! I’m a fresh graduate in a medical-allied field and a licensed professional from the Philippines. I completed 2 months of healthcare VA training with HelloRache, but it’s now been another 2 months without getting a client.

I’d really appreciate advice on a few things:

1. Should I start applying to other agencies now, or is it better to continue waiting for a HelloRache client?

  1. If I apply elsewhere, should I disclose that I underwent training with HelloRache? I’m thinking it could be useful to mention since it gave me training and exposure to healthcare VA workflows, but I’m not sure how other agencies view it.

  2. Does having HelloRache training count as relevant experience when applying to other agencies, even though I haven’t actually worked with a client yet?

Also, what other healthcare VA agencies would you recommend for someone with a medical background, license, and VA training but no actual client experience?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
