Moving from Tech Consulting to M&A Advisory

Hi everyone! I'm currently working in a Big 4 firm as an Enterprise Technology Consultant. However, I've developed an interest in M&A, primarily in the Post Merger Integration phase. I've done MBA and I'm studying for interviews at the moment.

If anyone has moved from a tech consulting role to an M&A role, could you please give me some tips? Thank you!

Should I charge buyer or seller?

Hi guys, need honest and quick answer.
I’m an independent deal scout in india, helping a buyer to scout sell side opportunities in USA. I have sourced a deal for the buyer.
Can I charge introducer fee ( post successful transaction) from buyer in india or seller in USA? Or both. How much it should be for EV $10M- $50M transaction? Looking for quick suggestions.
