Leah’s secret

I’m sure this show is scripted but am I the only one thinking um girl no one would have known you fucked a Dad unless YOU told!?! She had to know other people would find out and it wouldn’t go over well. She only has herself to blame for the fallout.

I have so many thoughts - WARNING LONG POST! SORRY

NGL, I think I lost brain cells watching this show.
I couldn't watch more than one episode at a time. Honestly, I probably shouldn't have watched it at all, but I kept seeing clips online and got FOMO.

I could say something about the whole cast but wont
(not that anyone cares to hear my opinion lol, but I’m giving it anyway).

  1. Leah

Leah "spent" her life savings on a business, but had no registered logo, business name, or business plan??

Was it an agency for nannies run by nannies? Or just run by Leah?

She kept gatekeeping "her connections" and got mad when Jack asked if Liv and Mitchell could talk to the dads about a recommendation. ATP it started off as her connection, yes, but they individually worked with them and built their own relationships and trust with the dads. Those aren't just your connections anymore.

Also, whether the "secret" was fake drama or she really is that emotionally immature, WHY on God's green earth would you tell someone knowing it's going to be on TV, especially your employee, and then not explain what the full story?
Saying you slept with a dad could mean a million things. Maybe start off by saying he was a friend turned client, or he was a friend who hired you for one night and then you had sex when he came home.
Presenting it as "I slept with a dad" could mean a million things. It’s her own fault she made it sound way worse than it was. If you present it one way, it’s hard to take it back or change anyone’s perspective.

If you want people to take you seriously as a business owner, maybe keep it to yourself. Or at least tell the full story upfront because all you did was leave Liv to overthink it and make up her own story in her mind.

Also, being mad at Sydney for taking another job after she built her own relationship and trust with the family is insane. Again, it started with your connection, but Sydney created her own connection on her own.

And expecting her not to take a job with a 25K SIGN ON BONUS?? If she was really your friend and you were a good business owner, you'd understand that business is business at the end of the day. Or offer to match the money if you wanted her to stay??

You also knew her dad was sick and that she needed the money. Her little business will never survive if she's not emotionally mature enough to separate friendship from business.

  1. Olivia

Maybe it's just me, but if Leah told me her "secret," I would've gone back to Leah first and gotten the full story before telling anyone else.

This whole thing started because Olivia went around telling people, and IMO she didn't get enough hate or criticism from Leah.

Then she turns around and takes Leah's side after she voting for Jack?? And for Leah to forgive Olivia so easily but hold everyone else to a different standard is crazy.

  1. Taylor

An absolute nut case.

You want to get married or at least have a ring before you move out of your boyfriend's parents house?? Did she not stop to think that maybe an apartment is the first step. You want to be married still living in his childhood room??

She is so immature mentally and emotionally.

The way she talked about Nichola and saying she saw her as a mother figure / big sister after knowing her for a few days is crazy!

Was she like this with every family she worked for before this?

It started with Liv, but Taylor made it her personal mission to single handedly ruin the agency or any potential it had.

Her using her past and upbringing as a constant sob story got old FAST.

Your past can't be an excuse for your actions. I know some people are emotional and sensitive, but I feel like she used that as an out or is used to getting sympathy and grace for it. She has no idea how to take criticism or accountability.

She isn't ready for marriage, let alone a relationship. She clearly needs to communicate better and work on it instead of acting crazy. No one should have to check on their boyfriend constantly because they have a female coworker. She is using her past relationship trauma as a reason to cause a rift in her current relationship rather than actually working through it internally.

Understandably she's been cheated on before, and he had that one friend issue at the beginning of their relationship, but she chose to continue being with him without really working through it or if they talked about it then... Either move on and don't carry it into your relationship for years, or break up because you will never trust him again.

I could honestly go on and on about Taylor. She needs serious therapy.

I assume if the show gets another season she'll be back because I saw somewhere that she and Leah made a video together recently.

  1. Mitchell

He enables Taylor.

They’ve been together a long time and I get your partner taking your side in public, but he kept saying he understood why Taylor told Nichola. She would give him her upbringing sob story and start crying, and I’m sure he was more worried about comforting her than actually giving her feedback or his honest opinion. He did call her out a little, but not nearly enough.

Aside from their relationship, because I have a LOT of opinions on that, I actually thought Mitchell was a really good nanny and, overall he was one of the more sensible people on the show. IMO

Leah’s “Agency”

Leah: “I’ve used all my savings to start this agency.”
Also Leah: I don’t have a name or a logo.

Girrrrrl - was your life savings $4k for rent and a flight??? Good thing casting directors did your job for you. 😂

Taylor wtf

I started watching the show today, I'm already at episode 6. Shes highly unstable, she trauma dumps on literally anyone and burns bridges both in personal life as well professional. Why is she even there? Poor Mitchell, she literally brings up their relationship issues in front of strangers and TV. He even quit being friends with a whole friend group, what more does she want from him? She didn't even seem happy that he got the job offer to continue nannying in LA. Being so jealous that she could potentionally get her nanny kids in danger is insane, yes I understand that they had a whole camera crew there and the other nanny but if someone I hired to take care of my daughter did that I'd react the same. So crazy. That's all I had to say.

Why aren’t more people talking about…..

Mitchel being gay! Right?! I watched this show with my wife and my brother and that is half of all conversations that we had. There is nothing wrong with being gay but I can’t help but wonder if Mitchell made a mistake proposing to a woman that two episodes earlier we’re having arguments about how he wouldn’t kiss her. Thoughts?

Does anyone know where to find Tamaya's dress?

That orange dress with the waist cinch Tamaya wears in a lot of the retrospective scenes, does anyone know what store does that style of dress?

the shows not scripted lol

Leah and Liv went on Zane and Heath: Unfiltered and I think everyone should watch it to see how Leah truly is off camera and to show how the show isn’t scripted

i see everyone saying this show is so clearly fake and scripted but if that was the case, why would they KEEP focusing on one little aspect (the Leah and dad thing). The drama is so poorly fleshed out that it’s so clearly real, messy people. like if it’s scripted, it’s so poorly scripted that I believe Leah and Liv when they say it’s real

The girls mentioned how the G’s were genuinely like that and I think people just don’t have any idea what the 1% are like or what nanny’s are like that they assume it’s fake lol.

people saying it’s so clearly fake because why would these families trust these people to nanny their kids but Leah has discussed her previous nannying experience on podcasts and social media and we see them crazy on the show, but we don’t see their resumes and previous work experience lol

Leah getting fired

This show is hilarious. Im dying ! The G’s
, if they are even real are so insecure it’s crazy. Did Leah just make up a more palatable version of her story? She was bragging that she slept with a dad and now it’s her “ friend “. So much fake in this show it’s hard to tell what is real or not. I think Leah really did sleep with a married dad . But also “G’s” need to lighten the eff up .
Sydney is absolutely stunning and it’s funny how they were so worried about her but it ended up being Temu Stassi they had to worry about.

For the love someone please confirm or deny if this girl is currently, has ever been, or plans to be in therapy.

I’m only on episode 6, so maybe this is talked about in the next two episodes🫣 Or not 😂

Zane and heath unfiltered

This episode should be out tomorrow on YouTube , if you’re part of their Patreon, you can watch Leah and Liv talk about the behind-the-scenes and what actually happened and how much stuff they cut out of the show. Also a lot more back story on Taylor. Just thought I’d share for anyone who wanted more info.

I’m a Real Full-time Nanny. Here’s my thoughts:

Hi everyone! My name is Chelsea (33F) and I have been working in childcare for 10+ years. I have experience in the industry (and specifically with wealthy families). I wanted to answer questions any of you all have so please AMA and I wanted to share my thoughts on this show.

Also as of right now I have just finished the first 5 episodes, so my opinions are based on the show to this point.

Leah
As someone very serious about their career, Leah, makes me so mad. From the perspective of professionalism, I would never want recordings of myself falling over drunk broadcasted on live television. Yes, I have a life outside of my job, but that is not something I would share openly on social media for prospective clients to possibly view. Her callousness towards her employees when they make mistakes versus her dismissiveness of her own faults makes her a terrible leader.

Sleeping with a Dad
Although the situation was very nuanced, Leah hooking up with a dad is extremely problematic. A nanny hooking up with a father IS a real and relevant fear of many mothers and has been widely discussed by momfluencers on NannyTok forums. Bringing this situation to a world-wide audience exacerbates mistrust towards the industry.

Taylor
I personally come from a very similar situation to Taylor. My family was a lower income family, parents divorced, my dad was an alcoholic and mom was a workaholic. I was alone a lot and had to grow up really fast. These experiences have shaped the way I nanny and like Taylor, I set out to give children a better situation than what I had growing up. That said, she’s very young and hasn’t learned the appropriate way to manage her working relationships with families. It’s a very easy mistake to make to overshare with a nanny family - the relationship lines are very blurry in this environment. It’s unfortunate that this way the way she had to learn this lesson. I also don’t want to ignore the mistake she made with leaving the kids with Tamaya to confront her boyfriend at the beach. This is yet another example of poor judgement and immaturity on her part.

The Families
I think it’s pretty obvious that the families represented on the show are dramatized, fame-seeking versions of what real wealthy nanny families are like. I full on cackled at the lists of requirements - some of which (like the chopstick and spray tan requests) are so silly and ridiculous that all I can do is laugh. The truth is somewhere in between. Yes, families are and can be VERY particular. I have worked with families that have very specific and niche requests. For instance, the nail thing is pretty fairly common. I have been requested to have short, natural nails while working. I had a mom who preferred I fold all laundry hot from the dryer to prevent wrinkling. Most families have certain ways of doing things (folding laundry, stocking pantries, washing dishes… etc.) and you learn to adapt to their ways. One thing I want to clarify - my professional boundary stops at any sort of task that is not child-related. Once that threshold is crossed, I’m no longer your nanny, I’m your professional assistant and that’s not the job I signed-up for. Sorry 3 Daddies, but you’ll never have me doing your hair and make-up.

Thats really all I have to say, but I’m open to more questions comments from you all so please feel free to discuss!

Am I missing something in the Leah lore?

Am I crazy or is everyone leaving out the biggest detail of Leah’s story? Sleeping with a client? Yeah, bad call.
But everyone keeps acting like she slept with a married dad. Unless I completely missed something, he wasn’t married. Wasn’t even her client, she was helping out a friend…(in more ways than one lol)
Honestly there’s no reason that even needs to be news or discussed…
There’s a HUGE difference between “crossed a professional boundary with a single client” and “had an affair with a married client.”

Meanwhile we’ve watched people cry to clients (taylor), gossip to clients (taylor), throw coworkers under the bus to clients (taylor)… but Leah’s years-old mistake is somehow the unforgivable one, even though it seems like it’s really nobody’s business?

Idk. Feels like everyone’s piling on without even acknowledging the actual situation. annnnd I don’t even think Leah’s a great leader or face of the agency-just don’t think this should be the reason she’s “ousted”

FAKE

This show is so fake.... it is completely unbelievable. Why would 8 young people who seem to live paycheck-to-paycheck make a decision to go work in Ibiza for the Summer without nanny contracts in place, without solid work assignments lined up, without connections with enough families needing nannies over the summer for all 8 of them??? And agree to live in an expensive home for a couple of months??

Obviously Leah had a pipe dream and sold it.... but they didnt even seem to press her much about where are the families, where are the contracts, where are our opportunities.

This all just seemed so unrealistic. Then Leah being so immature and narcissistic was too much.

This was not a reality show - it was scripted..... hard to watch this train wreck.

Leah is not ready to manage

Leah may be a good nanny but she doesn’t understand the basics of managing a business. I am only on episode 5 so Leah may redeem herself but I don’t it.
In business school when learning to manage others, you learn the golden rules is to criticize in private and celebrate in public. Yet when Taylor gets fired, instead of talking to Taylor or reaching out to the client, she talks to three people who were present but not directly involved about the incident. Then Leah uses that information to yell at Taylor in front of her whole company. The show never showed Leah reaching out to the client to try and mend the relationship. How this should have been handled was Leah reaching out to the client to apologize and offer to complete the contract for free with another nanny (or even herself). Then spoke to Taylor in person and really made it clear that the client is not her friend.

Another thing is Leah loves to call Taylor out on how she needs to be accountable but refuses to take accountability for sleeping with a client. Like in business, it doesn’t matter what the situation was but how the situation is interpreted. I mean you see companies having to apologize all the time for things being interpreted wrong. But as a business owner, you can just say fuck the clients. I think the biggest problem is Leah has not set professional boundaries with any of her employees. She treats her employees like friends but expects them to treat her like a boss. Like when Leah wanted to speak with Taylor after the pool party, it should have been the next day and in private. Like obviously everyone needed time to cool down and collect their thoughts especially Taylor. Like Taylor should not be put into a position where her boss is wanting to confront her in the middle of the night at the place she lives at. Imagine if it was any other company, and your boss was waiting for you at your home late at night to yell at you. There needs to be professional boundaries like set hours where business can and cannot be discussed. And a situation like what had happened should have not been discussed with wine in their hand. And Leah should not be talking badly about any employee to another employee, it’s inappropriate.

Lastly, I don’t see any benefit of working for Leah’s agency. Like Hannah would have already been working and making money by this point in the summer without Leah’s connections. The only person that has had a consistent job is Leah. As soon as Leah got fired, she found another family and was working. Leah is only looking out for herself and not her employees. The only way I could see this changing is if Leah stepped back for being a nanny and made managing everyone her full time job. She could take like 15% cut from the jobs she finds for her employees. And make it her top priority that everyone be working.

All in all, Leah claims for this to be her dream but this whole business is very poorly planned and very poorly executed.

Leah is not capable of being a boss.

Leah’s reaction to everybody’s concerns and the vote just proves exactly why she shouldn’t be the face of the agency. Her behaviour on the nights out getting drunk kissing multiple people just shows how incompetent she is as Boss. She is way too immature and unprofessional to run any type of business.
Talk about don’t lead by example!!!

Telenovela Taylor

Is Taylor physically incapable of having boundaries?

Mitchell gets an amazing opportunity and somehow she’s the victim. Then she cries to Breegan about it.

Gets herself fired for chasing him on the beach… then immediately tells Nicola about Leah’s past. Imagine trusting your friend just for them to use your business as damage control.

The main character syndrome is exhausting. Every episode I’m like…girl please leave 😂

Also the trying to start shit with Hannah and Tamaya was messy and embarrassing. For Taylor. lol OK I’m done for now…
