What kind of atmosphere should we expect this weekend? Will it become a loud party spot, or is it more family-friendly? And, does there tend to be a lot of over-the-top "private fireworks shows"? I'm in the LA area and the fireworks noise is pretty nonstop from about 6p to 1a.

I've been going to Morro Bay since I was a child for about 30-35 years. Every year my dad has either gotten us a hotel or rented a small beach house for us to enjoy a weekend in the summer. I have grown to be completely fond and appreciative of this little city and it's surrounding communities. As an adult, I've made solo trips here to just sit on the beach and reflect and be grateful that I have a life that allows me to enjoy what I have been blessed in. As a father and family man, I bring my wife and daughter here along with my family once a year still. We spend a few days instead of a short weekend now that we all can contribute. This is now my daughter's favorite place to be as well. So from the bottom of my heart and from the undying gratitude for this city, thank you. My childhood will live on forever. I will treat the city with respect and appreciation forever.

SLO County clocked a 55.32% turnout, more than 14 points above the statewide average, and more than 4 points above our turnout for the June 2022 gubernatorial primary.

I’m exploring Morro Bay and want to skip the tourist traps. What are the absolute must-try hole-in-the-wall restaurants, hidden gems, coffee shops, bakeries, and local favorites that I can’t miss?

me and my friends are trying to find a place that will let you rent and drive a boat if ur 21 we’re trying to do it around 7 pm the only place we can find is one that only rents until 5 does anyone know of any that we can rent from that will let us do at 7 pm? might be a hard find but just wanted to give it a shot it’s for a birthday and we’d really love to be able to make it happen
