Hi I'm a 22F and I just moved to Northamptonshire with my partner, I'm wondering if anyone knows any good groups or social stuff to meet people of similar age? I've moved from Yorkshire so I'm really in the dark about the area! But yeah any good places to meet people/ groups etc :)

Hey! I’m 25M and moved from London to Northampton about 2 years ago for work.
When I first moved here, I actually really enjoyed having a bit of a break from my social life. I’d felt pretty drained beforehand, so having some time to myself and getting properly into training was honestly great. Since then I’ve got really into running/cycling and even completed my first triathlon, which I’m pretty proud of!
But I think I’ve reached the point where I’d like to be a bit more sociable again and start trying some new things around Northampton rather than just working, training and going home 😂
So, what’s actually worth doing around here? I’m open to pretty much anything — sports, clubs, activities, events, random things I’ve probably never heard of etc.
I’m planning on joining a climbing gym next week, so if anyone climbs and fancies joining for a session, feel free to give me a shout! Or if there’s a group/activity you think I should check out, let me know.

Has anybody had any experience of weddings at the guildhall? Whether that be as a bride/groom or as a guest - partner and I are starting to look around at some venue options, we only want a smallish affair and it seems they have a variety of room sizes available for hire. Would love to hear people’s feedback or personal experiences!

What are people doing today and this weekend around Northampton?
I live in Duston area and we have yet to be fitted with full fibre as a result our Sky broadband is s h i t. Over the years Ive looked at other providers but not found anything suitable.
I recently found out about Starlink which seems like a possible answer. The smallest package at 40 prices with Sky so it seems like a reasonable cost. But I have a number of concerns (no customer service, movement of satlities resulting in drop outs etc.).
I'd like to hear from others who have or have used it in the past. What are your expierences both good and bad?
A few years ago I started making sourdough at home, and I'm trying to turn it into a tiny Northampton micro-bakery. Last week I made a few loaves and sold every single one. Trying to understand if there is demand, and if is sustanable. Do you think this might be something that the town is missing ? Would you be interested in trying some?
