Weekend Rental—Metal Gear
Welcome to Video Connection, your local rental store. This week, you decided to rent Metal Gear. A recent issue of Our Game Club Magazine gave it 3 out of 5 stars. The reviewer notes that Metal Gear on the NES is a middling port of the far superior MSX2 original (available in PAL regions). MSX Club Magazine cites Konami's mysterious "H. Kojima," and our staff agrees he has tapped into something new: a brilliant mix of action and espionage that works well even on the NES.
• Do you have the game in your collection? Turn the weekend into a marathon gaming session.
• Weekend Rentals are considered on topic, so post your progress. Rentals are due back after one week, so get on it!
• Rentals were ephemeral, and so are the user flairs associated with them. Want to rep your rental? Grab the user flair before the game is due back at Video Connection.
• Some games, like lengthy RPGs, will take longer to beat than the seven-day rental period. That's okay. Weekend Rentals are on for one week as a community feature, it's not a time limit.
