Rabi Pirzada has strongly criticized Maryam Nawaz over the government’s response to the heavy rainfall in Lahore. She claims that despite official statements saying that numerous vehicles and teams are actively working, the situation on the ground tells a different story. According to her, many parts of Lahore, including some of the city’s most expensive neighborhoods, remain flooded, causing significant hardship and property damage. She questioned the government’s claims and called for more effective action to help those affected by the flooding.

Another life has been lost. A man was electrocuted after coming into contact with live electricity in floodwater during heavy rain.
How many more innocent lives must be lost because of negligence and unsafe electrical infrastructure? After every tragedy, there are expressions of sympathy, but meaningful action is often missing.
Human life should never be treated as disposable. The authorities must ensure electrical systems are properly maintained, repair exposed or faulty wiring immediately, and hold those responsible accountable to help prevent such tragedies in the future.

The All Pakistan Petroleum Pump Owners Association has announced the indefinite closure of petrol stations across the country after talks with the government failed. The association says the strike will continue nationwide until its demands are addressed.
