I swear between the constant nighttime intersection closures on royal palm way and the endless "undergrounding" utility work tearing up seaview ave and half the north end, driving anywhere near the bridges this week has been absolute torture

I was stuck sitting on south ocean blvd yesterday for like 30 minutes just staring at a flagger. Naturally I got bored and started scrolling through my phone, reading some market updates from larry mastropieri just trying to see if it even makes sense to keep renting here or if i should finally give up and move further inland. spoiler alert: the mainland is getting just as ridiculously priced anyway

It feels like they are milling and paving half the town simultaneously. are they ever going to finish this watermain and pipe installation stuff or are we just permanently living in an active construction zone now? kind of losing my mind tbh.

For the past 2 years, I’ve started staying in Palm beach county with family most of the year except from mid June to mid September, I stay up north with my mom.

I remember when I was first checking the weather averages for the city they live in in Palm Beach County, and it said the averages for June, July, August and September would be lows in the mid 70s and highs around 86 or 87.

This seems to be pretty far from the truth. When I left in mid June, the highs had been in the 90s just about everyday for at least few weeks already. I’ve been periodically checking the weather there this summer, and it’s been in 90s regularly. Some days, I’ve checked and seen a high in the 80s, but those days were rare.

It seems to me, the true average high during these months is 91 or 92. At these temps combined with the humidity, summers in Florida are intolerable. It‘s even cooler where my grandparents live in Puerto Rico, where the average high truly is in the much more tolerable mid 80s year round and 90s are uncommon except during occasional heat waves. Is this normal for Florida to be this hot in the summer?

Can someone tell me why they start at 6am? Literally rush hour for people going to work. Making me 15 minutes late to work this morning. They need to be doing this crap at off hours. Lake worth to Boynton exit only one lane open!! I don’t mind the construction but they are delaying 8am traffic by HOURS

Hello everyone!

I am looking for advice on hospitals to work at in Palm Beach County. I am currently a newer nurse and have only worked at one hospital in the Tampa Bay area. I love the unit and hospital I work for (it’s a post-surgical unit). Everyone is helpful, kind, and fairly close knit. The hospital I work for is also a Magnet-designated one, and I noticed the closest magnet hospitals to PBC are Ft Laud/ Miami.

I am moving back down South to be closer to family and looking for good places to work, preferably good ratios and hospital/ unit culture.

Any advice is appreciated, thank you!!

i recently moved into a room with a male landlord and when i did not reciprocate his advances he began setting odd boundaries and expecting me to tell him where i am at all times. need out asap.

23 year old girl who is involved in treatment center work. i work on call at a center and have another opportunity on the way for the weekends. i do not drink, smoke, have not placed a substance in my body for two years. no one would be coming over. i am very respectful and never ever want to get in anyones way. you set a boundary ill follow. i have my own goal set im working on in regards to schooling and as long as i have a roof over my head to do that im fine. i am often out of the house as i do not like staying inside and am very involved in community work.

my budget is 1k and i have a small kitten id like to take with me. looking to stay near delray.
