Loving the game so far, but it feels to me like the civilian ship POI is by far the best in the game and you're almost forced to take them every time they appear. Am I missing something, is there an easier way to build up a fleet? It seems like the benefits of having mining/refinery/farm ships hugely outweighs basically everything else you can look for on a run.
As promised earlier this week, a new hotfix is here, fixing the Fate cap issue that was affecting demo players!
Anyone figured this one out? Doesn't seem to be many opportunities to change healthcare or maintenance level, lowest I've got is poor for a run.
I've cleared the other achievements on the first fleet and want to try the speed runs. Do we know what's counts towards the time limit? Like if I pause does the timer pause? Also is there a way to see the time elapsed or am I starting a stopwatch then hitting go?
Also I assume you basically skip every cutscene for these runs so is there a way to be sure you're not missing more of the story?

Sometimes after finishing a run you get some little mysterioud cutscene. There seems to be an overall narrative going on. Does anyone know how to progress it? Do I just have to keep doing runs or do I have to do anything specific? I just completed Exodus V and would like to know how many more runs I have to do to reach the "ending". Thanks!
I also dont get the trial Fate rewards.

Trying to figure out if I’m just… bad haha. I’m having a lot of fun with this game and I love how it’s like the show. Strategic and punishing! That said I haven’t beaten it/gotten to Galactica yet and I’m on like… run 10? Haha.
The first several runs I think I was just figuring out the mechanics post tutorial and then farmed some of the currency for future runs.
That said: I feel like I just got wrecked in most of the ship battles even with ship upgrades. Wondering if there’s strategy or builds I’m just not aware of?
Like what combos of ships and weapons etc.

Final boss for the Atalanta class and all other bosses before him destroyed on normal. For the final boss, it took 12 nukes. Happened not too long after civilian fleet left using a lot of cooldown perks for the nuke officer.
So apparently there's an underlying story going on across all the retries, and after doing this I got the ending that said "The final fleet has reached the galactica". I just discovered the shrine sector in this run so I'm not sure what the story is between that and the final run.

Now that the game is out I can FINALLY show the assets I made. We went for a low poly / pixel art direction for the ships, because we like it and also because the ships are generally very small on the screen.
In our previous game (Crying Suns) I made the ships with a technique I'll call "sprites stacking", just a sandwich of sprites to give some depth when they rotate. For this production I had to step up my game and make everything in 3D.
On the technical side, we used normal maps to bring some depth to the texture, that I painted by hand. With a reference palette it's really easy to do.
Now meet the Viper Mk2, the base fighter of the game. He's a brawler, brutal at short range, and quick to get from target to target.
What do you think?
Do I have to click or do something to get the reward? Or is this a bug?
I played through the demo today and it ‘kind of’ works on the Steamdeck. Controls were a bit wonky (mostly touch pad mousing with triggers as mice buttons) and some of the text was super small, but you can manage if you have played through on a bigger screen first. I tried doing a control remap in the game, but the in-game options were lacking, so I’ll probably try and make a Steamdeck profile at some point.
That said, I would love to see official controller and Steamdeck support (with a slightly bigger font and UI) as it seems like this game would make a good addition to my regular set of on-the-go games.
According to records one of them is caprican while the other was born on canceron. So they are not twins. Hmmm...
As title say, the favors reset is bugged and will simply wipe away all your progress. Dont do it!
Do you get better rewards at the end or something? I got an achievement but did not notice anything else.
I keep doing the optional elite battle poi mission where you have to defend a civilian ship from waves of cylon ships. Eventually i kill them all and then i just end up sitting there with my ships in space and no way to seemingly end the encounter. If i click jump away then it says i haven't completed the mission and i will fail if i leave now. Anyone else experience this and have a way to fix it?
