Best Emulator? Mac etc (for Gameshark/Codebreaker Codes+interchangable save loads)

Using my mac mini - been playing the 'online emulator' of gbapokemon website and made it to the final 4 at victory road (Blastoise, Dragonite, etc 84:14 playtime for this run - but the online emulator allows .state save file as well as exporting .srm save file (which i CAN convert to .sav if need be) but my issue was - the online emulator freezes anytime i attempt to try a gameshark-like cheat code using their cheat code menu. So, i thought id try a diff emulator (MGBA is a nightmare) im trying to open my save file on an emulator that has little to no issues with gameshark/codebreaker like cheat codes so i can do those there, save it, then re-open it on my preferred emulator (the online one where i can have fun, hold down F to fast forward 2x and just get around easier) plus im used to that one. --- is there an emulator i can download that takes srm files or .states along side the gba game file so i can swap back and forth after each save if need be? or even just once, if i know i can do these 2-3 cheats i wanted to do and know it will open back up in my preferred emulator with updated save - ill do that. But man this is annoying

best bet is prob to buy a used Gameboy Advance, Fire Red cartridge, and figure out which game shark to get right? even if my idea about loading my emulator save data on to the cartrdige fails - at least i can start over and know some cheats will work (all 3 starters wild encounter, master ball cheat, supposed 'money' cheat that ive never seen work lol --

keep in mind this is just a hobby/sandbox thing for me, im terrible at this game and do not know most well known tricks from it let alone things ive heard youtubers say 'crit hit' like alright bro, i JUST learned not to stack 4 attacks on all my pokemon... hahah this is just to have fun and not for any cheater-speed-run attempts (if it wasnt obvious) ... again - im terrible at this game LOL

thanks for any advice! i do hope eventually to have poke-legal verisons of my saves when its all said and done so i can port to pkemon home (that sounds pretty awesome) to have all my pokemon in one spot

Starting out tips

Hey guys, I’m looking to start playing all the original Pokémon games while I’m at work and I just don’t know where to begin, where do I download? What do I buy? If you guys could give me a setup that could carry in my pocket that would be awesome!

i need a good emulator to play pokemon platinum version

I've been looking on playstore lately for good emulators that platinum version would work on Android but most of them are trash

few things I need in a emulator:

—inbuilt cheats option

—fast forward option

—no ads or maybe ads but they don't come after turning off wifi or mobile data

—doesnt crashes much

I've tried johngba, melonds, lemuroid, drastic and supernds
