I’ve noticed a pattern here multiple times now: a user (usually posting as F4M) puts up a catchy title, but the second you message them, their very first reply is always some variation of: "Hey, I don't stay on Reddit much, add my Telegram instead." then they will try to sell you webcams or onlyfans accounts.
What's confusing to a lot of people is that these accounts often look legitimate because they have a ton of Reddit karma. If you're wondering how they manage to do that, here is how the scam works:
Don't let a high karma score fool you. If their immediate goal is to move you off Reddit onto Telegram, WhatsApp, or Snapchat right away, it is a bot or a scammer 100% of the time.
Stay safe out there and report these accounts when you see them!
