Battery mod for my remote?

I bought this FlySky FS-GT3B to replace the old 74MHz remote I had for my RC car. It’s great and I really like it but it burns through batteries like crazy. I’ve heard you can mod this remote in all sorts of ways, but I really don’t know anything about the RC world and I’m completely lost. I heard LiPo batteries are great but I have no idea which one to get nor which charger to get.

WLtoys 124017/124007 owners — what breaks most often?

I’m considering getting a WLtoys 124017 and I’m curious about long-term durability. What parts tend to break or wear out the most? Are there any spare parts you’d recommend keeping on hand? Thanks!

Novice seeking direction

Hello RC peeps,

My son (6) is really interested in RC cars. We've had the run of the mill cheap stuff from the big box stores, like a few grave diggers, and some weird dancing tech crawlers. But his friend has "real" cars. They're still battery powered like Arrma and Traxxas but repairable, better controls, speed, distance, operation, etc.

I've been trying to read up online, but there's so much info it's hard to know where to start. And for a couple hundred bucks, it feels like I need to have a good understanding before I dive in. So, is there a best place to start?

Is there a clear winner between Traxxas or Arrma or another brand that's modular and rebuildable?

Is there a best place, way, time to catch screaming deals on an RC car?

All insights appreciated!

Is this tank good?

I’ve been looking at the motion rc Heng Long USA M1A2 Abrams tank and just wanted to ask if any body has experiences with it. Is it good? Is it durable? Are the bbs easy to get? What terrain does it work best on? What’s the control like? How fast is it? Does it come with a battery? And if it’s bad, where else should I buy my tank from?

Rc10 identification / value

https://imgur.com/a/NQmWsYW

Hello, I recently acquired this RC car that looks like it had been started to be assembled in the 90s and never finished. Not sure if all the parts are here or not. Also has a controller that looks like it was never used. Are these of any real value/ should I look to sell this to someone that would be looking for this exact model? Iv considered putting it together but dont really have much extra time right now and don’t want to mess it up if it actually has value. Thank you for the help and input.

Rc Jetboat Launch Part 3 . Beauty water warm up and super shallow water Jetboating.

Have to be a bit tame here with the 360 cam in shallow water a tip over could damage it.

UDIrc Venom turns like garbage to one side.

the servo seems like it turns fine when not powered. Will only go so far when powered. Anyone have a fix? This is the 2nd venom I've got like this.

RC

Just found this bad boy in a box. Missing the battery pack and controller.

I remember this being a beast.

Are the parts expensive/hard to find?

Haven’t got enough projects

Took inspiration from a real life car carrier that was based on the Citroen ds. I’m going for a twin cab look though.

MB01 kit turn up today. Going front engine FWD orientation. Got the chassis built and the body painted in ps16

RC Ariens WAW-34 Mower

I believe this would best be described as hybrid electric. I removed the old manual self propel gearbox and driveshafts and used the empty pulley on the engine's output shaft to drive a 24V tractor alternator. I designed a mount for it in Fusion to align the pulleys with each other while allowing me to adjust the belt tension. 3D printed in ASA with a .8 nozzle, it barely fit on the H2D build plate.

The motors are 24v 75 rpm wheelchair motors driven by a Cytron 30 amp dual motor controller hooked up to a basic 6 channel flysky receiver. The main controls of the mower are still handled physically but I may add some rc controls for the starter and PTO.
