Original Rayban Wayfarer Legit Check

Are these pair of Rayban Wayfarer 2140 real or fake? I bought them second hand online for 70€. I've compared them with many pictures online and the only thing that seems off is the kerning in the "WAYFARER" word. Can you help me out? Their supposed to be the latest original wayfarer model.

Can you swap lenses between the Wayfarer Ease and the Classic Wayfarer 2140?

I recently got my first optical glasses. I went with the Wayfarer Ease because this pair of 2140 Wayfarers have been my favourite sunglasses for the last 16 years, literally half my life, but they’re not quite working for me.

They’re less comfortable on my face, look worse and the lack of pentoscopic tilt makes them hug my brow line and steam up easily, something I’ve never experienced with the originals.

I think the best thing to do would be to swap the lenses. Does anybody have experience with using Ease lenses in the OG frames? I’ve had a look but I can only find examples of people putting OG lenses in Meta frames.

Rayban legit check

Hey guys, can someone help me legit check these vintage Ray-Bans?

Model/code inside says:
Right arm: JB8532

Left arm: Ray-Ban Made in Italy

They’re around 14 years old, have automatic spring hinges and purple lenses. There’s no RB engraving on the lens, so I’m not sure if they’re authentic or just an older model.

90s folding raybans real or fake?

Got these Raybans on eBay. Love the folding and said to be vintage. But doesn’t feel like it has much of a pantoscopic tilt - thoughts?

Real or Fake Erikas?

I’ve never owned a real pair of Ray Bans and wanted to treat myself to a nice pair. I recently purchased a pair of Ray Ban Erika from ShadeStation here in the UK.

On their website it says they are a certified reseller of Ray Bans, and the Ray Ban website also confirms this. They have great Trustpilot reviews (over 30k). Even though they are a certified reseller, a very select few reviews on Trustpilot seem to claim they received fake pairs of Ray Bans.

Their prices seem too good to be true. I got these for £90 brand new, when on Ray Ban they sell for £140. I took a chance and purchase them.

I just want to confirm they are authentic. As I said I’ve never owned a real pair so I’m not too sure what to look out for (I’ve had plenty of fake pairs).

I noticed they don’t have the ‘Made in Italy’ on the inside of the right arm, where most pairs do? Not sure if this is a sign?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Counterfeit clues

Just had a counterfeit RB arrive in our office. Here’s a couple of things to watch for. First, the packaging. The frame is in a plastic bag with a RayBan logo…obviously the real does not. The cleaning cloth from RB is much larger and the logo is printed with RayBan written in white not grey on red. The RB symbol on the real case is printed in much clearer font. There were few obvious differences in the case otherwise. The frame and lenses were of inferior materials and workmanship. Unless you are buying from an authorized dealer you can assume you are receiving counterfeit product.

My original 1990 Ray-Ban Signets

I have had these for now most of my life. I bought these in 1990 from a shop in Vancouver for i think around $225 cdn. I remember as an 18-year-old busboy, they cost me my entire paycheck but I didn't care because I was off to a Depeche Mode concert. Good times....

I have seen these on ebay for like $500 usd, it's that correct?

Lenses won't fit into identical frame

So I broke my new pair of RB7056. Ordered an identical frame, 55 17.

Two different places said the lenses were too big.

Is this a common occurrence with Ray-Ban?

Are these real?

Hi! I need some help identifying these RB4279 that I've found on Vinted. I can't find this model anywhere, but I'm scared of getting fakes. The seller says the etching is located on the inside of the lens, but it seems it's supposed to be readable from the outside, it's basically inverted. I've never seen this, but I only have two other pairs.

(Help) I think I bought fake meta glasses GEN 2.. PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! (CHECK BODY TEXT)

bought Ray-Ban Meta gen 2 Wayfarer glasses for $310 on Facebook Marketplace, and they came sealed with Grey transitions. I thought I got a pretty good deal. When I checked them out, they connect to the meta app successfully and have all the main meta features and the app works fine. The sound quality is amazing and the overall build feels solid. However, I’m noticing some issues. The color tint is kinda yellow in a way and the colors in the video aren’t too good, and when it’s dark or kinda dim in the room it’s kinda staticy in the video footage. The frames do feel good though in the video but I’ve got some videos I shared above.
Here’s where it gets sketchy. The seller told me they were real and that he got them as a gift. But when I texted him on Facebook Messenger about the issues, he blocked me. He hasn’t blocked my phone number though, and I’ve been texting him there trying to get a response. No luck.
I’m genuinely unsure if these are real or fake. A bunch of people have told me they look authentic, so maybe the yellow tint and static are just normal for Meta glasses? But it’s also possible the guy didn’t know if they were real when he sold them to me, and now that I’m telling him about these problems, he’s ghosting me because he doesn’t want to deal with a refund.
The serial number checks out as valid, they connect to the app and like I said have basically every feature so that’s something. But I’m still confused. Does anyone have experience with Ray-Ban Meta glasses? Is the yellowy color and video static normal, or am I looking at fakes? What should I do?

Trying to find replacement lenses for my vintage Wayfarer II 51mm 😩

I’ve had these frames for nearly 30 years, they belonged to my dad and they’re so cool but I can’t seem to find lenses that will fit, so I always end up putting them away.

They’re matte tortoise shell B&L RAY-BAN U.S.A. WAYFARER II, 7 hinge, 51mm (there are no other markings of any kind)

If anyone can point me in the right direction I’d be so appreciative.

*Please note, every lens replacement website I’ve come across that sells lenses for Wayfarer II only sells the 54mm (or 50 mm), but not 51mm, and I’ve measured them 100 times 😩

Update: I found a company that cuts custom lenses (Revant), I just have to send them the frames and they’ll ship them back to me. Thanks for the info and advice!

Are these new wayfarers real?

I just want to check if these sunglasses are real before I do anything with them. Just to note these are JUNIOR new wayfarers so they are different from normal new wayfarers

RJ 9052S 100/71 48[]16 130 3N

Also is the finish supposed to be matte because these are glossy

Bought this for my boyfriend from culture circle...do you think he'll like it?

Finally picked up a pair of Ray-Bans for my boyfriend after he kept casually mentioning he wanted new sunglasses gott them after comparing a few styles, and they honestly looked really good in person. I went for something classic so it’d be easy to wear daily, but now I’m overthinking whether I picked the right frame shape for him.

Guys are impossible to shop for sometimes pls tell me Ray-Bans are a safe gift
