In the alternate timeline (that I wish we lived in) where Return to Oz was a success when it was released and got sequels, what would you make them about?

Obviously making a sequel now would have its risks, but hypothetically, what would you do?

Why was so much Return to Oz merch just released in Japan but not elsewhere? I've also heard that the movie was more successful there but I'm unsure how true that it is; but if it, why was that so?

Am I just imagining things or were other Smuckers Return to Oz puppets actually planned before being canceled? I vividly remember seeing an image that showed other planned puppets but I can't find anything

I even specically remember seeing the Cowardly Lion, amongst others but I can't remember specifically who
