Rode lav II is a downgrade

I’ve always found the OG Rode lavs to to be decent, even when concealed their frequency response is nicely balanced even when concealed. I used the lav II for the first time the other day (supplied by client), clipped onto the talents’ jackets, and it honestly just sounded a bit woollie by comparison, in what was not a challenging scenario by any measure.

Rode podmic

So im considering upgrading the mic setup for both my wife and I. We have two desk side by side and i was considering upgrading to two pod mics one for me one for my wife but I was sure if we would run into problems with echoes. So I guess my question is if we were both using our microphones at the same time would there be a high chance of echo with us being about 3-6 ft from each other?

New Mic but defective 🫩

Hi there. I bought a Rode PodMic USB to use with my Android phone for filming videos, and I use Rode Central to adjust the settings. But I'm starting to regret the purchase... The volume is low no matter what I do (I've tried *every* setting). The only solution is to increase the gain, but doing so makes mouth noises and background noise far too audible. Adjusting the distance between my mouth and the mic doesn't solve the problem either; it makes no difference whether I'm close or far away. And there's something else... When I'm filming, I get 10 seconds of clear audio, followed by a 15-second drop where it sounds like I'm speaking underwater, then 20 seconds of normal audio, then another drop for 15 or 20 seconds... It happens every single session. I paid €180 for this mic thinking I was getting a quality product, but I was sorely mistaken. Am i the only one?

Need help with gear selection

I need to setup a 3 camera video interview for 4 people. I have 4 xlr mics and 3 Sony ZV-e10.

Can I use the Rodecaster Video S with this setup? If not, what mics and cameras should I be looking at?

Weird effect while monitoring mic in Rodecaster Duo

I don't really know how to explain this and it's my first time posting on reddit so, please, bear with me. I recently bought a Rodecaster Duo. I had been using a Vocaster Two for the last year and never had an issue with it.

After setting up the Rodecaster and turning on the microphone I hear myself with some sort of weird flanger effect. It's not in the recording, I only hear just while monitoring myself speaking into the microphone. It's something that had never happened to me with my Vocaster and I can't find a reason why it's happening. I checked the routing and nothing seems out of place.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Can you record a safety track, internal 32 bit float, timecode and plug a lavalier on the 3.5mm jack of the TX on the Rode Wireless Pro all at the same time?

Hello there!

I've been thinking about buying the rode wireless pro. I would like to put a TX on the talent and put a hidden lav on them. My question is: could I record simultaneously the audio transmitted from the lav, the internal 32 bit float, a safety track and timecode?

The reason why I'd like to know if this is possible is in case the connection gets altered and I have to rely on the internal audio, in which case I'd like to be able to sync it easily with the timecode.

Thanks!

Virtual Drivers Not Working

Have been having huge issues with Virtual Drivers on my Rodecaster Pro II. They randomly will not show up in my output devices and the only solution seems to be just uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers. It's not a HUGE issue, because they does temporarily solve the issue, but it's extremely annoying having to reinstall these drivers every 5-10 days. Has anyone else had this issue/found a solution?
